CHAPTER 39 : OLD NIGHTMARE

NO ONE P.O.V

It had passed midnight and everyone was asleep, including Junghwa but there was a frown on her face, and sweat dropped from her forehead. Her fingers twitch as she seems to be having a really bad nightmare.

A figure lying on the floor, all bloody.

Lifeless.

Little Junghwa is in the closet, her mouth covered as tears threatening to fall. Looking through the small opening, she can't believe what she is seeing. A figure approached the dead body, holding a shattered soju bottle.

Blood dripping from it, the figure let out a breath as he tilted his head, staring at the dead body. Slowly, a wide grin formed on his lips. Shivers went down her spine as Junghwa put a hand on her mouth, attempting to stop her sobbing.

"Oppa?"

And the figure snaps his head straight towards her.

Still. Grinning.

Junghwa's eyes snap open as she sits up instantly, gasping for air. Her chest moves up and down furiously. She grabbed her chest and touched her face, unexpectedly, she was crying heavily. Letting out another breath as she wipes her tears.

She could remember her nightmare. Clearly. "Junghwa... why?" She asked herself. It was long ago, very long ago. It never hurts her anymore, ever. Why is it hunting her now? Junghwa caresses her chest.

"I got a very bad feeling about this."

"Brother?"

Jungkook was woken up by the knock. He sits up and frowns, Junghwa? He glances around the room, Where's Lisa? the question was left unanswered when another knock was heard "Hold up, I'm coming." He said and got up.

Jungkook opened the door and saw Junghwa standing in front of him "What's-" Just before he could finish his sentence, Junghwa gave him a tight hug. Jungkook was confused but he hugged her back "What's wrong Junghwa?"

Junghwa was silent at first before she pulled away and looked at her brother "Just checking on you." She said as Jungkook blinked. For a moment, there was silence between them when Jungkook pulled her "Come on."

Now walking in the garden side by side, they walk in comfortable silence. "What's bothering you, lil sis?" Jungkook finally asked as Junghwa glanced at him "Just a nightmare, okay?" She admits as Jungkook laughs "Nightmare? It reminds me of when you were 5." He joked.

Junghwa smacks him as he just laughs. "You're annoying." She commented, "Annoyingly cute." Jungkook points to himself as Junghwa rolls her eyes. Silence surrounds them again after some time until Junghwa decides to break the silence this time.

"Oppa... I'm sorry." She said making Jungkook look at her in confusion "Why so sudden?" He asks "This all happened because of me." She said and it was enough to make Jungkook understand what she meant by that.

Jungkook looks away at that, he doesn't know how to comment. "How are you and Lisa Unnie?" Junghwa asked "Fine." He answers simply and shortly as if he wants nothing from this conversation. Junghwa purses her lips and there's a sudden awkwardness between them.

Jungkook sighed and looked at her "It's fine for now, Junghwa. I'm trying okay? Trust me." He said with a smile Junghwa nodded, and they continued walking and Junghwa glanced at Jungkook's back. They just walked while Junghwa spoke to her heart

It's not him.

"Your majesty."

The Alpha wolf from that day greets her. He had woken up. Though still in a weak state, he insists on meeting the Alpha Queen. He tried to get up but the Alpha Queen gestured for him to stay there. "Your majesty... It's an honor to be in your presence."

"How are you feeling, Mr.Lee?" Lisa asked as Mr.Lee just nodded "I'm well, just some muscle soreness, here and there." He said as he looked at the Queen "Your majesty, pardon me for my action a few days ago. It was-" Lisa cut him off.

"Beyond your control... I know."

The man blink "How?" He asked but enough for Lisa to understand "I figured as much that day. You're not responding to the growl but keep whimpering. In other words, possessed." Lisa said as the male nodded. "That could be it maybe."

"What happened Mr.Lee? Before all that happened." Lisa asked but Mr.Lee shook his head "I'm not quite sure either... It was just another ordinary day. I got back from work, sitting at the small cafe at the end of the village with a friend of mine, until..." Mr.Lee fell silent as something hit him.

"Until?" Lisa asked "Until... A kid..." He frowns "There's a kid, he come and serve us a tea? I never saw the kid but he said the drink is free that day." He said as he looked at the Alpha Queen "A tea?" Lisa glanced at Seokjin who looked as confused.

"Is there anything else?" Lisa asked but the Alpha shook his head. Lisa nodded "Rest well, Mr.Lee." Lisa turns to leave "Just a moment, Your Majesty." They turn back towards the Alpha "Pardon me, if this sounds rude, Your Majesty." Mr.Lee gulp, he looks reluctant

"I think... this is deeply connected to your mate, Your Majesty." 

Lisa frowned this time "Why so?" She asked calmly "I might not remember everything but there is one thing that I remember clearly... That day, when the male Luna arrives, whatever was possessing me, trembles and left with fear." The male said

Lisa didn't comment, she abruptly nodded and left. Seokjin stayed for a moment before bowing a little and leaving soon after, following Lisa

"What are you thinking, Lisa?" 

Seokjin asked as he drove the car. Lisa pinch the bridge of her nose "I don't even know anymore..." She sigh "Where should we go now?" Seokjin asked "Just... drive for a moment. I need some air." She said as Seokjin just nod. The ride was silent, deep down, something is inside Seokjin's head. 

Mr.Lee's words rang in his head, a strange feeling in his chest, his guts is telling him that what his feeling might be true. He glance through the rearview mirror. A lot is already on her shoulder, he don't know how to tell her. Would she even believe him?

The host? Are you nuts, Seokjin?

"Let's go to the cafe Mr.Lee said."

Lisa said as Seokjin was pulled out from his own thoughts. Seokjin nod and turn the car, heading towards the cafe.
