"Leah, let's go." Faith my best friend squeaked.
"Alright, hold on. I'm almost ready." I said packing the rest of my bag. I grabbed my cell and dialed Hunters number.
"Hey," he answered on the second ring.
"Hi, where are you?" I asked with the phone between my ear and shoulder.
"Oh, I'm on my way. Don't worry, I won't hold up the train." He said. I heard a car 'unlock beep' in the background.
"Alright, hurry please me and Faith are waiting." I sighed.
He hung up and I looked at my list of checked off items. I went down the line of things and stopped at the last and only checked off thing. Extra shoes! Oh, how could I forget, I thought.
I ran down the stairs, brushing past Faith, to the closet.
I grabbed 3 pairs. Tennis shoes, flip flop, and one more pair of sneakers.
"Sorry, Faith, I forgot about extra shoes." I said running back up to my room to pack away the shoes.
I zipped the now full, ready to go suit case.
I sighed. "Is Hunter here?" I yelled hearing a car beep.
"Yeah, and I'm guessing Luke is coming too!" She called up the stairs.
I froze. He invited Luke!? He is the worst behaved person in my school. He always gets what he wants and gets into trouble.
I rushed down the stairs with my two suit cases and my purse.
I closed the front door behind me and locked it.
Me, Faith, Hunter, and apparently Luke are going on a vacation to a cabin in the middle of no where off of a lake in Wyoming.
I walked to the red car, that had the hood down, and threw my bags in the trunk.
I got into the back seat of the car while Luke checked me out.
"Keep your eyes to yourself." I grumbled.
Hunter backed out of the drive way and headed down the street.
"No fighting guys." Hunter said.
I rolled my eyes. "Nice outfit." Luke smiled.
I was wearing dark skinny jeans, sneakers, and a blue tank top.
"Thanks?" I said back. Why was he being nice?
I had dark brown hair with matching brown eyes, dimples, and I was skinny. Faith had long Honey blonde hair, blue eyes, and a good tan. Luke had black hair, green eyes, and wasn't a 'great' person. Hunter had Light brown hair, and hazel eyes and was really nice.
We sat in a comfortable silence for a short while until Hunter broke it. "I'm gonna pop some tags. Only got twenty dollars in my pocket. Imma hunting, huntin for a dollar. This is really awesome." He sang.
I smiled. When the song was over, Faith held her stomach. "I'm starving." She said. I sighed in relief. "I thought you were gonna throw up." I said. She shook her head. "Nope." She smiled.
"Could we get some Wendy's? It's just up ahead." Luke asked.
"Yeah could we?" Faith joined. Hunter sighed and nodded yes.
-
"I'm stuffed." Hunter said.
I took another bite of my burger and finished it.
"Same here." Luke said.
I nodded, agreeing with them.
"Thank you Hunter for buying us this." I said gratefully.
"Anytime. Not literally though." He smiled, as we left Wendy's and were on our way again.
-
"Alright were here!" Hunter spoke with excitement.
I looked out my window. "There's nothing but trees..." I pointed out.
Hunter nodded. "it's trees for quite a few miles, then we reach a lake, and a big cabin." Said Luke.
Faith looked at him in confusion. "You've been here?" She wondered.
Luke nodded. "Me and my parents used to come here when I was little."
Wow. Luke camping? Doesn't suit him.
We found a dirt road the led through the forest and too our cabin.
After half an hour of driving, what felt like hours, we reached a Huge, cabin with the second floor walls made of glass, cabin with a big porch and a 'porch' swing on it.
The lake was about 40 feet away from the cabin and glistened in the sun.
"Wow." Was the only thing that came out of Hunters mouth.
Faith was speechless, and so was I. I got out of the car and walked over to the trunk. I got my two suit cases and headed towards the cabin. I went to open the door but it was locked.
"Hunter! Where's the keys?!" I yelled over to the car.
"Sorry, Leah..." He patted his Jean pockets for them, "Here they are." He said jingling the cabin keys in his hand.
I sighed, and set my bags down on the porch.
