Vacation gone wrong

Chapter 7

Faith peered in front of me. I stood frozen and faith screamed. The scene was horrible. It could be real. Hunter hung himself. Right there, on vacation. I ran over and jumped up onto the bed to cut the rope.

"Faith hand me a knife!" I yelled in panic. She rushed out and brought back a knife, I quickly cut the rope and Hunter fell to the floor.

"Hunter!" I yelled. I wasn't prepared for this. How do I bring him back, CPR? I don't know, I'm clueless. I was never taught. I began to shake him.

"Faith go find signal and try to call the ambulance! And get Luke the heck up here!" She rushed out of the room.

I shook Hunter, and felt his pulse. I listened for a breath, that never came. I began to cry.

"Come on Hunter! Please!" His skin felt plastic like, and cold.

Luke came upstairs and rushed me out of the room. He locked the door behind him and handled it. After a few very impatient hours, he unlocked the door and stepped out.

He shook his head. I began cry a bit. "How could this happen?!"

Luke put a hand on my shoulder. "Things happen."

Luke began to cry, lightly. I wanted to laugh, because it was the big bad wolf crying. But I knew, now was not the time.

Faith got back. "I couldn't find any signal or the dirt road, it's gone or I'm blind. I thought I found it but it ended, just ended." She said crying.

"Is he okay?" She asked hopefully. I shook my head and hugged her.

"Should we bury him?" Luke asked. "Well we can't have a rotting body in the house..

"I'm going out to look for the path. And signal." I said closing the front door behind me and stepping onto the porch.

I found the beginning of a path, and held my phone up to the air, looking for signal.

I'm not sure how long it was, but it did end. It just flat out ended. So I decided to go back and find a different path. But on my way back. The path ended again. I couldn't find my way back to the cabin.
