Buffy the Vampire Slayer AU. This is an experiment and I don't know if this will be continued, let me know what you think :)

"It's just a little bit further." Jake said, clutching his girlfriend's hand. Darla frowned, seemingly unsure of this plan. Sure, Jake wanted to show her his football trophy, the one in the proud spot at the front of the trophy case in the main corridor of Sunnydale high, but was it worth breaking into the high school for?

Darla pulled her hand out of Jake's. "Can't you just show me a picture? I mean all of this... It's a bit dumb." she said.

"It's not dumb babe. I worked for years to earn this trophy, and I want it to be for you. Look Darl, I know that we haven't been together for very long, but I like you. I mean I really like you, some may call it love, I don't know, but you're special to me and so is this trophy and I want both of you ladies to meet." Jake said.

"You can only have sex with one of us." Darla muttered under her breath. The school was creepy at night, the protective mesh in the windows looking like the walls of a jail cell, the lockers reflecting the moonlight onto them like a mirror, but not quite, as if it was taunting them. I know what you're doing. You shouldn't be in here...

"What was that?!" Darla jumped.

"Relax, it's probably just the boiler turning on to prevent the toilets from freezing again. That was a painful day." Jake joked, wrapping his arm around Darla's shoulders so she couldn't turn around and flee.

They were close to the trophy, so so close.

"Are you okay babe. You're really cold. Do you want my jacket to warm you up?" Jake asked. Darla pushed him off, turning around. Was she shy?

"I don't think that that will help me warm up." she said, rubbing her icy arms.

"Then what will? I'll give you anything?" Jake said, placing his hand on her shoulder for comfort.

"You're hot, human blood should help." Darla replied, turning around to reveal a horribly disfigured face, her forehead and eyebrows overgrown and creased, ruining her beautiful looks that got the captain of the football team checking her out in the first place. Her eyes were a bright yellow, but it was her shiny, white teeth, sparkling in the semi-gloom that made Jake's blood run cold... as they sank into his pink flesh.

Flashes of ancient, horrific scenes flashed through Perrie's head, her happy dream of ice skating and singing being poisoned with the call of the slayer. Prophetic dreams, or a prophetic pain in the ass, take your pick, were no fun. Lashings of blood, dismembered body parts, rotting corpses, and ugly, ugly faces turning to dust. Not what you want to dream about.

It's enough to make anyone wake up feeling more tired than when they went to bed.

"Perrie! Get up, you've got school today! You can't be late on your first day!" Debbie shouted up the stairs, the only way to wake her rebellious daughter up. Perrie sighed and rubbed her eyes, wishing that this school would burn down too. Though that was an accident and not allowed to be mentioned, her mother's new rule.

Opening up her wardrobe in her quaint room, Perrie picked out an edgy outfit, one that didn't say slut or cheap date, but looked nice and made her appear cool. God she missed being cool, the most popular girl at school, not the new kid. Being the new kid sucks. Funny choice of words. But her room sucks too. The wallpaper, green. Who even has wallpaper anymore, let alone green? That needs to be removed ASAP, and rugs on the wooden floor. Her feet felt like blocks of ice. And she needs to finish unpacking her boxes.

Perrie bounced down the stairs and walked through the dining room to the small kitchen, where her mother was making crumpets. "Here Per, with extra peanut butter." Debbie said, placing the plate on the bar in the middle of the room.
