Teague led her to an imposing building at the top of the city. Inside, a grand room awaited them, dominated by a long, elaborately carved table surrounded by a mix of scruffy and well-dressed pirates. The room was filled with the murmur of animated discussions and heated arguments.

As Teague entered, a hush fell over the room. The pirates fell silent, their eyes turning to Teague with a mixture of respect and apprehension. Marina felt the weight of their gazes, her grip on Teague's arm tightening as they walked toward the head of the table.

"Glad you could find your way," Barbossa's voice cut through the silence, his tone both welcoming and sardonic. He stood among the assembled pirates, his eyes catching Marina's.

Marina's gaze swept around the crowded tavern, her heart pounding as she searched for a familiar face. And then, there he was—Jack Sparrow, standing near the table with a mug in hand, laughing at some private joke. For a brief moment, the world seemed to freeze around her. The noise of the tavern faded, and all she could focus on was him.

Jack's eyes casually scanned the room, until they locked onto hers. His laughter died mid-breath, the carefree mask slipping as his face registered pure shock. His hand faltered, nearly spilling the rum in his mug. For a moment, he simply stared, as if he were seeing a ghost.

Marina stood rooted to the spot, her heart sinking as her gaze shifted beside him. Stood next to him was a striking woman of mixed race, her dark curls framing a face full of charm and confidence. Esmeralda. The name echoed in her mind, and with it came a rush of emotions Marina wasn't prepared for. Anger, jealousy, confusion—everything hit her at once, crashing over her like a tidal wave. Teague, noticing her distress, followed her gaze and immediately understood the cause. He leaned closer, his voice soft but reassuring. "I don't like her either," he said, giving her a faint, knowing smile.

Marina tried to control her emotions, forcing herself to focus on the task at hand. Teague guided her to a seat next to him at the long table. As she settled into the chair, she did her best to push aside her feelings and concentrate on what Teague was about to say.

The room fell into a hushed silence as Teague stood at the head of the long table, his commanding presence demanding attention. The pirates, many of whom had been engaged in heated arguments, now turned their focus to him with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension.

Teague cleared his throat and began, "Gathered here today are the fiercest and most feared pirates of the seven seas. We've heard whispers, but today I bring you the truth. It seems that Henry Morgan, once thought dead, is very much alive."

A murmur of surprise rippled through the room. Marina's heart skipped a beat as she absorbed the shocking news.

Teague continued, "Morgan has crafted a potion he calls Shadow Gold. This elixir grants him immortality, or so it is said. But that is not all. With this newfound power, he has set his sights on a far more sinister goal. He calls himself the Shadow Lord, a master of darkness and shadows."
