Broken Beyond Repair

When the Lan clan arrive in Cloud Recesse Lan Zhan said to his disciple, "Go get a good rest. You all did a great job today," the lan disciple gave a bow, they all went back to their own room.

Lan Zhan look down at Wei Ying, "I can only take you to my place Wei Ying," with that Lan Zhan take Wei Ying to his home.

That night, while Wei Ying is still sleeping Lan Zhan take off the mask, 'I waited for you for 16 year, Wei Ying. What Jiang Wanyin said was right, I travel the cultivation world to look for you. I know that your not gone from this world, I know your still alive somewhere.'

Lan Zhan put his forehead onto Wei Ying forehead, "give me a chance....a chance to let you know that I never meant to betray you. I have always believe in you....I believe in the Wei Ying that I have known since he enter into my life." Lan Zhan bring his lip down to Wei Ying lip, and he end up giving Wei Ying a kiss. Lan Zhan doesn't know it but a single tear slid down Wei Ying face.

The very next day, Wei Ying woke up due to the sound of a guqin playing in the room. 'I know that song from anywhere,' "why did you bring me back here? You know that I hate your clan the most."

Lan Zhan stop playing on the guqin, "Mn, I know." There is silent between the two of them, "you can leave if you want to Wei Ying, if you do, Jiang Wanyin won't give up on trying to catch you."

Wei Ying then see his silver mask on the table, he covered hus eye with his arm, 'he make me feel guilty for some reason.'

"Wei Ying," Wei Ying removed his arm from his eye, he look up to see Lan Zhan hovering above him. Wei Ying look away from Lan Zhan, "No need to be so close Hanguang Jun. Do you need something?" He asked.

"Do you want to solve the mystery of what happened to you 16 years ago? What happen to you 16 years ago is not your fault. That day at NeverNight, I didn't get to tell you this but when I went to go see Wen Ning at Jinlintai he said that he heard a second flute sound at Qiongqi path."

Wei Ying tighten his lip together, "Wei ying, if no one in this world believe in you....you still have me. Didn't you once ask me, what do I see you as, "I'm still am your soulmate" Wei Ying."

Wei Ying fully turn away from Lan Zhan, 'if your my soulmate....where were you when I needed you the most. Why didn't you believe in me? Why did you interrogate me with question that I can't explain to you?'

Seeing that Wei Ying won't answer him nor look at him, Lan Zhan decide to leave Wei Ying alone.

Wei Ying end up falling asleep again since the room is quiet. He can only hear the sound of wind blowing outside or the sound of the jingling of the bell in the distance.

The very next day Wei Ying woke up, he turn to his left side, 'I bet he either went somewhere around cloud Recesses or meditating in his cold spring,' he decided to get up since there is not much he can do in Cloud Recesses.

As Wei Ying walked around the Lan clan, he see many sad memories of his past life even the one where he first met Lan Zhan. When he walk to where the library is at he also remember what happen in here as well. 'Why are you thinking about the past, Wei Wuxian? Those memories die with you when you kill yourself back at NeverNight. You're not the Wei Wuxian from 16 years ago anymore.'

'Since Lan Wangji isn't around nor the Lan disciple is around, I guess I will leave this place for a while,' without much thought, Wei Ying left from there to head down to Caiyi town.

While down in Caiyi town Wei Ying suddenly felt like something is happening in cloud Recesses. He try to ignore it, the more he try to ignore the more he get angry.

'Wei Wuxian Wei Wuxian, you can't escape your destiny. You can't get away from Lan Wangji no matter much you try,' with that last thought he went back up to cloud Recesses.

When Wei Ying arrive in cloud Recesses, he went to look for anyone to tell him what is happening. When he spotted one of the Lan disciple he stop him, "what is going on around here?" He asked.

"Something has happened at the under realm (something like that)."

"Take me there," that Lan disciple take Wei Ying to the place where the Lan disciple keep the sword. "Mo Qianbei!" Lan Jingyi help Sizhui over to where Wei Ying is at, "What happen?" Sizhui explain to Wei Ying about how Lan Qiren want to summon the soul inside of the sword in the end they couldn't.

*Sigh* 'Is pointless to summon a soul inside of the sword, they don't even know whose this soul belong too,' Wei Ying went to the two big door, with one push of his hand the door open up.

When Wei Ying walk inside of the room, the place is overflowing with dark energy. He look up ahead to see Lan zhan playing on the guqin with blood running down in the corner of his lip. 'What did you do, Lan Wangji?' He take out his flute and he begin to play along with Lan Zhan.

About an hour or so later the sword finally settle down. After helping Lan Zhan, Wei Ying turn around and walk out of the room. "Wei- I mean Mo gongzi where are you going?" Asked Lan Zhan.

"No need to concern yourself with me, Lan er gongzi. You should take care of the injury first." Wei Ying opened the door, the Lan disciple rush into the room to see how everyone is doing.

'You will always be my first concern, Wei Ying,' Lan Zhan fisted his clothes, 'no matter how hard I try to be on Wei Ying good side, he still giving me the cold shoulder.'

'Stupid old man Lan, why did you do something like this? You dragged Lan Zhan into this without studying the sword soul first.' "Use your stupid brain to think old man!" Wei Ying went to one of the tree, he hit the tree trunk with his fist.

Wei Ying look up ahead he see the Lan disciple is helping the injury back to their room. *Sigh* Wei Ying sighed, he decide to walk away from there without looking back. He went back to Lan Zhan home since there is nowhere else he can go.

When Wei Ying got back, he just sat outside with his head on his arm and his arm on his knee. 'Damn that hurt.' Blood dripped down from his hand onto the floor.

Lan Zhan who just got back from healing his uncle, he see Wei Ying with his head on his arm. He even see injury on Wei Ying hand, "Wei Ying!" He rush over to his side. Just when Lan Zhan is about to touch Wei Ying, he slapped Lan Zhan hand away from him, "don't touch me."
