Chapter 15: The Heartbreak
Morning came too soon. The sunlight filtered through Gajeel's bedroom window, and Aislyn stirred, her head still groggy from the night of drinking. She blinked, slowly realizing where she was—curled up in Gajeel's bed, with his arm draped lazily over her waist.
Her clothes were scattered across the floor, mixed with his, a clear trail leading from the living room to the bedroom.
As Aislyn stretched and sat up, the door to the apartment creaked open.
"Gajeel? You here?" It was Levy's voice, accompanied by Lucy's.
Aislyn froze, her heart racing. "Oh no..."she whispered, scrambling to pull the blanket up to cover herself.
Levy stepped into the doorway, her eyes widening in shock as she took in the sight: Aislyn in Gajeel's bed, barely covered, and barely clothed, with Gajeel lying beside her, still fast asleep.
Levy's face drained of color. "I... I didn't know..."
Without another word, she turned and fled the apartment, her heart shattered. Lucy followed her, calling her name, but Levy was already gone, her mind racing with thoughts of revenge.
"This isn't over," Levy muttered under her breath as she ran, her mind already working on ways to get rid of Aislyn for good.
