Shelly walked out of her room. Today was the day; the day she confessed. She had loved Vee for a while and tisha helped her set up a date. A rose in hand, along with a letter, she walked off, going to the garden.

The garden was a beautiful place, flowers, trees, fruits, and more! She set up a small picnic under a large willow tree and tisha had cleaned up the area a bit. Vee eventually came in, walking over. Shelly promptly hid the rose and letter under an extra blanket.

"Hello shells, Sorry I'm late, scraps missed a question so I was a bit delayed." She said. Shelly chuckled. Vee seemed disappointed that scraps won. AGAIN. But no matter. Shelly pat the spot across from her and started pulling out food. Vee sat and Shelly handed her her favorite snack. 

"thanks shells..." She said, earning a 'you're welcome!' From shelly. They sat and ate, Shelly updated Vee's dinosaur facts, and Vee in return told Shelly about this drama she had been watching.

After a while, shelly got an idea.

"Hey, wanna go on a small walk?" She asked and in return got a nod from Vee. Vee walked ahead a bit as shells grabbed the things from under the blanket. They walked and walked and finally came across a beautiful spot. As they sat back down, Shelly's face heated up as she pulled the letter and rose from her pocket.

"Vee... I've been meaning to tell you something... I've liked you for a while, and I was wondering if you feel the same.." She said as she handed Vee the items. Vee looked confused but the laughed.

Why was she laughing?

"Ha! What a show! You really know how to act, huh? C'mon shells, we're just friends! Good friends! That was a funny joke!" Vee said. 

Shelly's heart shattered. 

Damn. That was just too far.

 She held back tears and looked away.

"Yeah... Its just a joke..." 'Like me' she thought. She got up and left Vee, who was still laughing a bit.

She walked to her room, tears rolling down her face and burning her skin. As she slammed her door shut, she fell to the ground, covering her ears as she cried. 

"why the fuck did I do that? I knew she would say no but..." She mumbled in between sobs. She sat there and cried for a bit. Crying. 

"hah... That was a funny joke."
