Chapter 11: Can We Be Productive?

Megumin: "You can't give up! We were just beginning to find our stride!"

Y/N: "I just did."

Megumin: "I said you can't!"

Y/N: "What're you gonna do about it?"

Aqua: "Are you two seriously so weak willed that you would throw in the towel now?"

Kazuma: "The smartest people in the world are often regarded as cowards. Don't you think that says something about society?"

Darkness: "What could that possibly say about society?"

Megumin: "Stop trying to act smart! It's not a good look on you!"

Y/N: "Everything looks good on me."

Aqua: "What happened to all that talk about becoming the strongest adventurers ever?"

Kazuma: "A pipe dream."

Megumin: "You're acting funny, Y/N! Go back to normal, please!"

Y/N: "Nothing funny about it. I've just been enlightened by the truth of this world. When man stares into the abyss, the abyss stares back."

Megumin: "That's-hey, wait. Didn't you get that from me?"

Y/N: "You were about to say that's stupid, weren't you? Now do you realize that you're a little-"

She whacked you with her staff. 

Y/N: "Try that again, short stuff!"

Megumin: "What? Why would you say something so mean?"

Y/N: "That's what I thought."

Megumin: "Come here!"

Y/N: "Bring it on!"

Aqua: "Kazuma, get up right now! Don't be the NEET everyone thinks you are!"

Kazuma: "Nobody thinks that but you."

Darkness: "Where's your motivation gone?"

Kazuma: "Down the drain. Into the gutter, you might say. Me and Y/N have reached a conclusion."

The party was posted up inside the guild as usual. The morning hustle and bustle drowned out the group's arguing, but the occasional object was still thrown from the table to crash land somewhere randomly. Then someone would punch someone else, a bunch of yelling would ensue, and someone would probably die. In other words, your average day. 

Megumin was busy wrestling with Y/N.

Aqua: "And what might that be, o wise Kazuma?"

Kazuma: "You're familiar with our payment from that last quest, correct?"

Aqua: "Yeah, over 3 million Eris. Pretty good, right?"

The man huffed.

Kazuma: "You would sure think so, huh? But as it turns out, that's still not enough to topple our massive mountain of debt! This world is all screwed up! Even some of the most valuable monsters can't help our situation!"

Aqua sipped from her glass of beer very loudly. Kazuma got pissed off and whacked it across the guild as hard as he could, shattering against a chair leg.

Aqua: "Hey! You're gonna have to pay for that!"

Kazuma: "Stop making things worse!"

Darkness: "We should go back to fight the Winter Shogun! His bounty is over a billion Eris."

You immediately stopped your fist mid-punch just before you were about to knock Megumin out cold (hopefully), and focused your attention on the blonde instead.
