Therrien Larenza got out of her car, feeling the warm sun on her face as she walked onto the busy film set. Today was the first day of her new movie, and she felt excited. She smile at the crew, ready to start acting. But then she saw her ex, Red Thongchua, standing across the set with a clipboard.

Their eyes met for a moment and Therrien felt a rush of old feelings. She quickly looked away, reminding herself not to think about the past. She was here to work, not to relive memories. Just then, the director approached her.

“Therrien, i want to introduce you to our scriptwriter, Red Thongchua” he said.

Therrien's heart sank a little. “Yeah, i know her” she replied, trying to keep her tone casual.

The director looked surprised but nodded. “Great! Let's get started!”

Therrien took a deep breath, focusing on her work. She was here to act, not to relive old memories.

As they began filming, Therrien threw herself into her role. The director called out, “Alright, Therrien, focus! Let's see that emotion!”

Red stepped closer, her voice calm and steady. “Just remember you're feeling lost but hopeful. Let that guide you”

Therrien nodded, trying to absorb Red's words, but everytime Red moved closer, it became harder to concentrate. The way Red spoke and moved reminded her of their past, making it difficult to stay in character.

“Therrien, keep your head in the scene!” the director urged, trying to pull her back to the moment.

Taking a deep breath, Therrien forced herself to focus on the lines. “Right” she said softly, trying to block out everything.

But with Red so close, everything became a blur and the weight of their history hung heavily in the air.

After the shooting wrapped up, Therrien was still trying to erase the feelings from the day when she heard familiar voices approaching.

“Therrien!” Neumi called out, her excitement lighting up the set. She and Charla approached, grinning widely.

“Hey, surprise visit!” Charla added, her eyes sparkling.

Therrien smiled back, happy to see her friends. But as they drew closer, both of them stopped short, their gazes looking onto Red.

“Wait, is that... Red?” Neumi asked, clearly surprised.

“Yeah, she's the scriptwriter for the movie” Therrien said, trying to keep it casual, though she could feel the tension rise again.

“Oh wow, this is unexpected!” Charla said, glancing between Red and Therrien.

Therrien shot a look at Red, who seemed to be just as caught off guard by the sudden appearance of her friends.

Neumi, curious as ever, stepped toward Red. “Hey, Red! How have you been?” she asked warmly. “I didn't know you were back in the Philippines. How was Thailand? Did you enjoy your time there?”

Red smiled, a bit surprised by Neumi's friendliness. “It's good to see you, Neumi! Thailand was always great, thanks”

Red smiled. Then all of a sudden, Therrien was there, with Charla holding her back. Now, she was standing in front of Red.

Charla looked between them and decided to break the ice. “So, Red,” she began, her tone light, “you have no idea what’s been happening since you two broke up. Therrien’s been, well… different. She kind of turned into this cold, distant version of herself. It’s like she forgot how to smile!”

Therrien shot a glare at Charla but remained quiet, her cheeks slightly flushed.

“Seriously,” Charla continued, oblivious to Therrien’s discomfort. “She used to be so fun and outgoing, and now she’s all about work. I mean, who knew she could be so serious? It’s like she’s a whole new person!”

Red listened intently, her expression a mix of surprise and concern. “I didn’t know,” she replied softly. “I thought maybe she was just focusing on her career.”

“Yeah, but it’s more than that,” Charla said. “She hasn’t really let anyone in since you left. We’re just glad to see her trying to get back into acting again.”

Therrien crossed her arms, feeling the weight of Charla’s words.

Neumi, sensing the tension in the air, held Charla back gently and whispered, “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t bring up Red and Therrien’s past. It’s making them uncomfortable.”

Charla glanced at Therrien and Red, noticing their stiff expressions, and nodded in agreement.

After a moment, Red stood up. “I should get going. It’s getting dark,” she said, glancing around.

Neumi and Charla exchanged looks and insisted, “We can drive you home!”

“No, it’s fine. I’ll manage,” Red replied with a small smile, shaking her head.

Neumi paused, then brightened up. “Hey, Red! You should come to my birthday party on Monday! It’ll be fun, and it’ll be nice to catch up.”

Red thought for a moment. “I’ll try to make it,” she said, her voice warm. “Thanks for the invite!”
