The last morning in Thailand arrived, and the group gathered in Plin's living room, bags packed and ready to go. It had been an unforgettable trip, and the thought of leaving brought mixed emotions.
"I can't believe our time here is over," Neumi sighed, glancing around Plin's house with a touch of sadness.
"Neither can I," Charla added. "I'll miss everything-especially the food!"
Plin gave each of them a warm hug. "You're all welcome to come back anytime. It's been so much fun having you here."
They said their goodbyes and headed to the airport, with Red taking charge of the travel details to make sure everyone was comfortable. Therrien stayed close by her side, grateful for the quiet moments together as they waited to board.
On the plane, Red and Therrien ended up sitting next to each other, with Charla and Neumi just behind them. Red glanced over, smiling softly. "Guess this trip turned out to be more than just a getaway."
Therrien nodded, a little smile creeping onto her face. "Yeah. It feels different now, heading back. Like... things aren't just 'back to normal,' you know?"
Red looked at her for a moment, understanding. "I know exactly what you mean."
After a few hours, they finally touched down in the Philippines. As they exited the airport, the familiar warmth of the city embraced them, and they all felt the shift from vacation mode back to reality.
"Alright," Charla said, stretching her arms. "Tomorrow is Day 1 of the shoot. Who's ready?"
Neumi chuckled. "Not sure about 'ready,' but we're here."
Red glanced at Therrien, a hint of excitement in her eyes. "Guess it's time to see what we've got on set."
The following morning, they arrived at the studio. It was buzzing with energy, cameras and lights everywhere, and a crew bustling around. Therrien felt a surge of nerves, but Red's presence nearby was a comforting reminder of the journey they'd taken to get here.
As they prepared for the first scene, Therrien took a deep breath, letting the feeling of anticipation fill her. She looked over at Red, who was talking to a few of the crew members.
"Hey, Red," she called out softly. Red turned to her, eyes meeting hers. For a moment, everything else seemed to fade.
"We've got this," Therrien said, with a small, confident smile.
Red's eyes sparkled with appreciation. "Yeah, we do."
The director called for everyone to take their places, and as Therrien stepped into character, she realized that their journey together-both on and off set-was just beginning.
The day had finally arrived. The bustling film set was a flurry of activity as crew members ran around, preparing for the first scenes of the day. The lights were adjusted, cameras were set up, and the director was walking around, giving instructions to everyone. Therrien stood off to the side, adjusting her costume, feeling a bit of tension building up. She took a deep breath, reminding herself that she could handle this.
Red was standing a little further away, talking with a few of the makeup artists. Therrien couldn't help but watch her for a moment. Everything seemed different now-Red's presence felt grounding, but also distracting in a way Therrien hadn't anticipated.
As the crew began to organize for the first take, Therrien started to feel her nerves creep back up again. She wasn't used to this much attention, but she knew this was part of the job.
"Hey," Red's voice came from behind her, and Therrien turned to see her walking over, giving her a soft smile. "You okay?"
Therrien hesitated for a second, then gave a small nod. "Yeah, just a little nervous. It's the first scene."
Red chuckled softly. "It's totally normal. You've done this before, right?"
Therrien grinned, though it was a little uncertain. "Yeah, but it's different now. I guess... I guess I just want it to go well."
Red's hand found its way to Therrien's arm in a gentle, reassuring gesture. "You'll do great. Don't overthink it. Just be yourself. You've got this."
Therrien exhaled a little, trying to steady her nerves. "I hope so. Thanks, Red."
As the director called for the actors to get into position, Therrien found herself walking toward the set with Red at her side. The lights were bright, the crew was moving quickly, and the pressure was on, but Red's presence beside her made it easier to breathe.
The director gave a quick briefing on the scene, and as they prepared for the first take, Therrien felt herself calming down. She just had to focus on her role, her character.
"Action!"
The cameras started rolling, and Therrien slipped into her character seamlessly, remembering her lines and the emotions she needed to portray. It wasn't as bad as she had imagined. She could do this. Every time she spoke her lines, her confidence grew.
After the first take, the director called for a break to reset the scene. Therrien wiped her forehead, feeling the sweat from the nerves and the heat of the lights.
Red walked over, holding two cups of water. "You did great," she said, handing Therrien one of the cups. "See? Nothing to worry about."
Therrien accepted the water gratefully. "Thanks," she said, smiling at her. "I guess I was just overthinking it."
Red laughed softly. "That's what you do. But it's okay, we all do it."
Therrien looked at Red, her heart warmed by the familiar teasing. "I guess. But I feel better now, really."
Red grinned, her eyes shining. "Good. You've got this, for sure."
They both watched as the crew adjusted the set and prepared for the next shot. The air between them was comfortable, and Therrien found herself enjoying the moment more than she had expected. The nerves had started to fade, and she felt more grounded with Red nearby.
As they got ready for the second take, Red leaned in, her voice quieter this time. "You know, I'm glad we're doing this together. It feels... different, but good."
Therrien's heart skipped a beat at Red's words, but she kept her composure. "Yeah, it's good. I'm glad we're here. Doing this, I mean."
They both smiled at each other, the weight of everything-of their history, their present, and their future-hanging in the air. But it wasn't an uncomfortable weight. It felt right.
The second take went even smoother than the first. Therrien found herself smiling more freely, her confidence growing with each shot. Red's encouragement had helped her, and now, she felt more like herself.
As the director called for another break, the crew moved to reset once again. Therrien and Red stood off to the side, out of the way. The tension from earlier had completely vanished. It was just them now, in this small moment, away from the chaos of the set.
"You okay?" Red asked, looking over at her.
Therrien smiled, her heart lighter. "Yeah. I think I am. It's... strange, but I feel like I belong here."
Red nodded, her expression soft. "You do. You've always belonged."
They stood in silence for a moment, simply looking at each other. The weight of everything they had been through, the unspoken words between them, seemed to fade.
Then, the director called them back to set for another round. Therrien glanced at Red, feeling a sudden sense of peace, as if everything was exactly where it was supposed to be.
