After breakfast, the group decided it was time to explore more of Thailand. Plin suggested they visit one of the biggest malls in the city, a spot known for its endless shops, cafes, and attractions. Everyone was excited to get out, and soon they were headed toward the bustling place.
As they walked through the mall’s entrance, Neumi’s eyes widened. “It’s like… endless floors of stuff! How do people not get lost in here?”
Charla nudged her. “We might end up as mall residents if we’re not careful.”
Plin chuckled. “Trust me, it’s huge but manageable. Plus, we’re all together. I won’t let anyone get lost.” She glanced at Therrien, who was looking around with interest but kept her reactions calm.
Charla nudged Therrien, grinning. “Hey, how come you’re not all hyped up? We’re in the biggest mall in Thailand!”
Therrien shrugged, her face unreadable but amused. “I’m here to shop, not to lose my mind,” she joked, drawing laughs from everyone.
Neumi clapped her hands together. “Okay, first stop: food. I’m starving!”
As they wandered to the food court, a familiar figure caught Plin’s eye. She did a double-take. “Third?” she said, surprised.
The guy, dressed casually, turned around, equally surprised to see her. “Oh… hey, Plin!” he greeted, glancing at the others. “Didn’t know you’d be here today.”
Plin raised an eyebrow, teasingly suspicious. “What are you doing here? Shopping with someone?”
Third paused, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. “Just… meeting some friends. But, uh, anyway,” he cleared his throat, looking to change the subject, “are these your friends?”
Plin nodded and introduced him. “Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Third. Third, meet my cousin Red and her friends, Neumi, Charla, and Therrien.”
After they exchanged hellos, Neumi gave him a sly grin. “So, Third, how does it feel to be dating the amazing Plin?”
Third chuckled, a bit flustered. “It’s, uh… definitely exciting. She keeps me on my toes.”
Charla grinned. “We have questions for you. What’s the most embarrassing thing Plin’s ever done?” she joked, nudging Plin.
Third’s face lit up as he laughed. “Oh, I have stories. But I don’t want her to kill me…”
Plin rolled her eyes. “Nice try, Charla. Let’s just say, he has his own embarrassing stories I could share.”
Red smirked. “I think I want to hear both sides.”
Therrien, still calm, leaned in. “Maybe a truth game over lunch?”
Neumi raised her hand enthusiastically. “Yes, I’m in! We can all take turns embarrassing each other.”
Third laughed, holding up his hands. “Only if you all promise not to record it”
They eventually found a cozy spot at a restaurant and settled in for lunch.
As they were finishing up their lunch, Third glanced at his watch and then looked at Plin, a bit apologetically.
“Sorry, everyone,” he said, standing up. “I’d love to hang out more, but I’ve got something I need to get to.”
Plin tilted her head, surprised. “Oh? Didn’t know you had plans today.”
He scratched the back of his neck, looking a bit awkward. “Yeah, it’s… kind of last minute. Just, uh, some things I need to take care of.”
