Faye's POV
Good Morning, P'Faye!🌻
I smiled at the notification popped up on my phone screen. This kid never failed to greet me every morning since the day we exchanged contact. It's so adorable.
Where should we meet today?
Yeah... homework assigned by our acting coach for us to bond outside of class. Aside from doing the so called—homework, we've spent a lot of time studying the script together and discussing how to portray certain scenes. We even recorded some videos while practicing. She and I both believed that practicing first hand would help smoothen the filming process.
Let's meet at the usual cafe, do you need me to pick you up?
No need, I'll go there by myself, see you!
This kid replied so fast... Time to get ready; I don't want to keep the lady waiting. I stretched my arms and walked to the wardrobe to pick up some clothes and get ready for the date. I mean appointment, not date. We're not dating, just working on the homework assigned by our acting coach. Why am I explaining again? I rubbed my temple to ease the headache.
I sighed and looked into the mirror, "Why do I look so handsome and beautiful at the same time? She won't fall for me, right?" I chuckled to myself, a light-hearted joke to start the day, aware that she's straight.
Oh yeah... and didn't forget to grab my sunglasses. It's my icon.
Flashback at day of the workshop
The first mission is the blind trust. We're told to close our eyes and let our partner to guide us through the instruction given by our coach. This exercise is to build trust and comfort since there will be a significant amount of skinship during filming, not to mention the intimate scenes. It's a good start for us to be closer to each other, I mean to reduce the awkwardness between us.
I'm not someone who easily forms close connections with new people. I prefer to keep my distance, guarding my feelings closely. But I can't deny that she startled me when we first met at the audition. That moment when she suddenly jumped on me and hugged me caught me off guard. It was P'Wan's mission for her—to annoy me while trying to make me give in.
I could feel my face heat up in that moment as I tried to keep my cool. She seemed genuinely determined to secure the role, taking it all very seriously. The audition with her was short though, but it was clear she was the A-Nueng we'd been searching for. P'Wan didn't announce the result to her that day, but let her wait while drafting the contract. I could see the disappointment on her face when she thought she had failed.
I did say that I'd join the cast if only if they found someone suitable for A-Nueng, and I was glad how P'Wan and P'Ize took my words seriously and let me joined the casting team. We truly found our A-Nueng. By the end of the day, they teased me, claiming that the very first reason I agreed to cast Yoko because she's single. How does that even relate to me? It has nothing to do with being single, but being single is good for focusing on work, which is good for the whole team—not for me, right?
I lost myself in thought and started dragging Yoko in circles, going too fast and making her feel dizzy. Luckily, just as the coach ended the session, I quickly came to a stop. Yoko laughed it off, joking that we'd end up vomiting at this rate. The coach instructed her to stay still and take a deep breath. Feeling a bit guilty, I gently massaged her head to ease her dizziness.
"She's so skinny and fragile." It's what I thought in the moment.
"Are you okay? Okay?" The coach asked.
