Normal POV

It was a sunny day in December.

Yoko had just finished meeting with her friends at a cafe near Faye's salon. As she stepped out into the late afternoon sun, she thought about the smiley blanket she had borrowed and decided it was time to return it.

With each step toward the salon, memories of their get-together flooded Yoko's mind—how awkward their first meeting had been, the way they gradually warmed up during team gatherings, and the dates they set for morning coffee. They would sip coffee and share stories for hours, laughter weaving between them like an old friendship. Despite only knowing each other for less than a month, Yoko felt an extraordinary sense of comfort around Faye, as if their bond had been forged over years rather than weeks.

Faye always wore a cool, composed demeanor toward her, but Yoko knew she had a gentle heart. Unlike the media's portrayal of Faye as flirtatious charmer, she treated Yoko with genuine respect and kindness. Yoko enjoyed discovering the different sides of Faye, especially how she would react to her teasing. The thought of surprising her with an unannounced visit brought a smile to Yoko's face, filling her with anticipation for their next exchange.

As Yoko reached the salon, she paused for a moment to take a deep breath before pushing open the door. The moment she stepped inside, an energetic person with short blond hair greeted her. This person's hospitality made her feel instantly welcome.

"How can I help you?" the energetic stylist asked, a bright smile on their face. She was shorter than Yoko.

"I'm here for P'Faye. Is she around?" Yoko replied shyly, feeling slightly overwhelmed by the stylist's lively energy. She glanced around, hoping to spot Faye.

"What's your name?" the stylist inquired, still smiling.

"Yoko," she answered, gripping the smiley blanket that was tucked under her arm for comfort.

The stylist walked over to the counter and checked the appointment list, her brows furrowing slightly. "Hmm... I don't see your name here. Did you happen to make an appointment under a different name?"

"I didn't make an appointment," Yoko's face broke into a shy smile, engaging with strangers was always a challenge for her, even though she's an actress.

"I'm sorry, but you need to schedule an appointment with Faye for any services," the stylist explained politely.

"I'm not here for a haircut," Yoko clarified, tightening her grip on the blanket to ease her shyness. She considered whether it might be better to just call Faye right then and there.

The stylist noticed the blanket Yoko was holding, the big printed smiley face strikingly familiar. A glint of recognition sparked in her eyes, and a playful grin spread across her face as she approached Yoko.

"Is that P'Faye's blanket?" she asked, pointing with a teasing lilt in her voice.

"Yes... I'm here to return it," Yoko replied, feeling a bit nervous under the stylist's keen gaze.

The stylist raised an eyebrow, a curious glint in her eyes. "What is your relationship with my boss?" she asked, leaning in slightly, intrigued by the unspoken connection between Yoko and Faye.

"I'm her... friend...?" Yoko replied, uncertainty creeping into her voice. She hesitated, unsure of how to define their relationship; after all, they had only known each other for less than a month. The label felt too much for their brief time together, yet she couldn't reveal that they're partners in the new unannounced series.
