"You'll need to get used to this, P'Faye. We're going to be together for a while," Yoko said nonchalantly, pulling scripts from her bag while keeping her other arm around mine.
She paused and turned to look at me with a mischievous smile, and added, "I'll be clinging to you even more when we start filming. P'Wan entrusted me with the mission to annoy Khun Nueng in the series."
"Don't you feel cramped?" I asked, shifting uncomfortably. As I reached to adjust my position, I brushed against her hand and was taken aback by how cold it was. I grasped both her hands in mine and gently exhaling warm breath on them, hoping to warm them up.
"Why are your hands so cold?" I began rubbing them together to generate some warmth.
"Hehe..." She just replied with a smile, "I just can't stand cold air. The chilly wind out there really got me."
"And you're still dressing so lightly?" I just couldn't understand the outfit choices of young people these days. Especially the short skirts, revealing too much. It didn't mean that I'm old, it just seemed like kids today were bold with their fashion. I'm more into casual and comfortable outfits.
"It was sunny on my way here." Yoko pouted.
"Wait here. I'll order another hot tea for you."
I didn't give her a chance to respond. Instead, I stood up and walked to the counter, ordering a cup of hot ginger tea to help warm her up.
"Could you bring the tea to that table?" I gestured to where Yoko was seated.
While I was at it, I stepped out to the parking lot to grab the blanket I always kept in my car. When I returned to the table, I playfully draped the blanket over her head. Yoko's surprise quickly turned into an angry glare. Teasing her was always fun; with that expression and her little pout, she looked just like a tiny hamster.
"Is that how you treat your younger sister, P'Faye?" Yoko said, her voice tinged with annoyance.
"Okay, okay," I said, grabbing the blanket and wrapping her up like a baby. "Pffftt..." I couldn't hold back my laughter.
"P'Faye!!" Yoko stomped her feet, glaring at me with an angry pout that was surprisingly adorable. She quickly took off the blanket and wrapped herself up again, properly.
"Hurry and drink your tea while it's hot," I said, sitting down across from her.
She patted the empty space beside her before crossing her arms over her chest again, signaling me to sit there. I pretended not to understand what she meant and took a slow sip of my coffee. She hmphed and patted the empty space again, this time with more force. I could clearly hear the thud of the bench beneath her hand.
The way her face turned a bit of red when she got angry was absolutely adorable.
I moved to sit beside her and wrapped my arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to me. I took her hot tea and gestured her to hold it with both hands, watching her carefully taking a sip of the tea. She blew on the tea a few times before drinking it..
I cleared my throat and quickly looked away when I realized that I had been staring at her lips so closely. They looked so kissable. I could feel the heat rushed to my cheeks as I tried to compose myself.
"How do you think the relationship between Khun Nueng and A-Nueng?" Yoko asked, placing her tea on the table.
"Sixteen years of age difference-it would be controversial in real life, especially if it involves the love of two women." I noticed Yoko staring at me seriously, waiting for me to continue.
