It was 5 am when you woke up. The sun hadn't started to rise yet, and the stars were clear in the sky.

Well. It was officially your birthday. And... it really didn't feel any different.

The villa had a balcony in the bedroom that you and Gracie were staying in. So you decided to go and stand out on it. Hoping to clear your thoughts a little.

The ocean was beautiful, and the world seemed so quiet and peaceful.

If only life could be like that all the time.

You decided to step back inside after a few minutes due to the morning cold. It was still really early so the brunette in bed was still fast asleep.

Jumping back in bed slowly, you grabbed your phone from the night stand and opened instagram.

"What time is it?" A groggy voice asked from next to you.

You turned to see Gracie rubbing her eyes, trying to focus them on you.

"Early, go back to sleep" you whispered.

But the brunette just curled into you and put an arm around you.

"Go back to sleep on my beautiful fiancée's birthday? I don't think so"

You chuckled, letting the girl curl into your chest.

"Gracie... really it's 5 am and I don't want you exhausted-"

The girl shook her head, sitting up and leaning her head on her palm.

"Y/n I'm an earlier riser anyway, you know this. And even if I wasn't, it's your birthday baby"

You smiled while scrolling through your messages. Seeing some from your parents, that you really needed to reply to. Gracie seemed to notice what you were looking at, and interjected.

"You really need to contact your parents. They have been messaging me this whole time. Plus it's your birthday."

"I know I do. But what do I say? Nothing has changed since I last spoke to them." You argued, setting the phone back onto the night stand.

Gracie groaned, lying back down onto her pillow.

"Just tell them you're okay. That's all a parent wants."

You thought for a second.

"But am I okay?"

A sigh was heard before the brunette pulled you in closely, her head resting in the nook of your neck.

"Probably not. But it's all about reassuring them"

You laughed slightly, getting her point.

"Okay. I'll text them. But only if we can stay in bed all day and watch movies for my birthday. No dragging me out the villa with Olivia and making me go to fancy restaurants with paparazzi everywhere."

"Deal."

Note: Sorry for the shortish chapter guys. I'm just getting ready to do the time skip to fall. Thank you for the reads❤️
