"You want Lucy Gray and Sunny to become allies?" Coriolanus asked you, a hint of consideration in his voice. It was evident that you had managed to catch his attention.

Coriolanus sits beside you, his knee brushing against yours in the process. He leaned back in the chair and stretched. He could feel your eyes on him as he leaned back, glancing in your direction with his usual stoic expression.

He turned to you. "Even if the tributes join forces, they're still at a disadvantage. Your tribute is strong, but too kind to kill. Mine has charisma and a good head on her shoulders, but lacks the physical strength."

"I'm aware of this. But as you said yourself, sponsors are going to be a huge factor in the games this year. I know it's going to be a gamble, but I think our tributes are going to have to put on the performance of their lives if they want a fair shot to live," You say as you set your paper down written with your ideas to read off of. "Sunny doesn't have to kill. Neither of them do. What does Sunny have that Lucy Gray does not? Physical intimidation. He can put on an act without having to really engage. Possibly only defense if he's willing to without really harming the other person. The other tributes know he's religious but they don't know about the no kill aspect of it."

You looked up at Coriolanus for a second. He was studying you with those blue eyes as he listened.

"Sunny could use his strength to intimidate the other tributes and deter them from attacking. Embracing the mere facade of a killer. Lucy Gray has her charm and talented voice she could use to manipulate the audience and gain sponsors. They could benefit from each other a lot." You explained, internally proud that you said all of this without stuttering once.

He pondered your idea with growing interest, his eyes locked with yours. There was a flicker of acknowledgement in them. He felt a sense of admiration blossoming.

"That's an interesting concept. Not a bad idea at all..." He admits, leaning forward a bit. "A performance on both of their parts, huh? It's an interesting idea. I agree they could have a fair chance if we play our cards right."

You felt a sense of validation knowing that your idea was being accepted. A sense of relief washed over you now that you knew it had been received well by him. "Im thinking to tell Sunny to start acting like this once we're close to the games. It would make the other tributes believe that he was only pretending to be nice and they would perceive him as a real threat."

He sits up a little straighter in his seat. "So as a 'sleeper threat' waiting until the games starts to show his true colors. That would certainly throw off the other tributes when the time comes. It would add another layer to his performance, make him look more deceptive and dangerous. But it needs to be flawless. Otherwise it's dead weight."

"That's what I'd be counting on."

Coriolanus smirked slightly, amused by your enthusiasm. He couldn't help but be impressed by your mind. It was another thing about you that had initially drawn him in.

He mulls over your words, studying your face a moment before responding. "You sure he can pull it off? He needs to fully act the part and it needs to be believable. He needs to be solid. Unshakable. Any slip ups and he's done."

"I think he'll take it with what's at stake," You assured him confidently. "His only family is by themselves back at home. And now we'll be offering him a chance to go back without going against his morals."

He spent a moment thinking, releasing a gentle exhale from his nose. There was a hint of skepticism in his eyes, but your words were clearly starting to sway him. "I'm in."

It was official. With the shake of your hands, the two of you agreed on forming an alliance for the games. The next step would be to get your respective tributes on board.
