You and Coriolanus held hands as you walked into the large studio where the games would be broadcasted on live television. You stepped carefully, wearing a boot today since you had to do some walking around. Coriolanus' walked slowly alongside you, not rushing you.

Sejanus spotted the two of you and grinned, approaching with a knowing look. "This will interesting having my best friend's date each other."

A photographer crossed your paths and asked if the three of you would smile for a picture. You stood in the middle of Coriolanus and Sejanus, smiling for the camera despite the emotions you felt deep down.

"No offense, Sejanus," Coriolanus says before facing the photographer, gesturing to you and him. "But would you mind taking one more picture of just us?"

Sejanus laughs, patting the blonde's shoulder. "I see how it is."

Coriolanus wrapped his arm around your waist, placing his hand on your hip. You leaned against his chest, your hand resting on his abdomen as you smiled again for the camera, your eyes briefly stinging from the flash.

You sat in your own respective chair with your peers, a monitor in front of you. You were zoned out, unable to decipher any of the conversation occurring around you. Your eyes took in the cameras that were set up, the bigger screen in the front of the room displayed text that read 'The Tenth Annual Hunger Games' on it.

Your mother was hesitant to let you come, however she had no choice after hearing that your presence was an academy requirement.

You shifted in your seat, looking down at your hands in your lap. You sucked in a shaky breath, closing your eyes.

Coriolanus walked by, leaning down to press a kiss against your cheek. "They'll be okay." He whispers to you reassuringly before taking his own seat across from you.

You felt momentary warmth from his kiss. Your eyes remained closed, taking in a deep breath. Your body was shaking with anxiety and fear. Coriolanus' words only did so much to comfort you. Despite how happy you had been last night, you couldn't even think of it at all right now.

"You guys are dating now?" Sejanus asks you, leaning towards you from his seat next to you.

You nodded, your eyes remained low. You were not entirely in the mood for rejoicing at this moment.

Sejanus smiles, you can't see it since you're still looking down. "Well that's nice. You guys fit each other well."

You looked forward once you heard it that the games were finally starting. You felt a pain in your heart as the screen showed the tributes standing in a circle formation around the arena. The camera panned over every individual tribute's face. When it was focused on Sunny, his eyes met the camera. He did a slight nod, a subtle gesture that would go over most people's heads.

This caught your attention, surprising you. You couldn't help but nod back as if he could see you. You knew that his action was meant for you to see, almost as an indication that he was indirectly telling you he would be fine.

The cameras then panned over to an area of rubble. Marcus, Sejanus' tribute was strung up to steel poles in the air towards the main entrance of the arena. His body hung there, his face covered with dried blood. He was beaten terribly from the looks of it.

"Well it looks like they found Marcus of district two. And unfortunately, he is out of the game."

You gasped, placing a hand over your mouth at the sight. You looked over to see Sejanus' reaction with wide eyes.

Sejanus' jaw was tensed, his nostrils flaring as he gazed at the screen with fury. He stands up in a swift movement, taking a chair in his hand and tossing it. A loud bang echoed throughout the room, startling everyone present. "You're monsters! All of you!!!"
