A little girl was walking with her Hermano and Abuela to El Casa de Madrigal. The Madrigal's were a family of gifted people. Today was the day that Mirabel Madrigal was getting her gift and all of Encanto was excited to see what Mirabel Madrigal would get for her gift. Mariano held his younger sister Marisol's hand. This was her first time getting to see the gifting of the Madrigal home. She was always sick or doing something the day of the gift ceremony. As they arrived the walls were covered with flowers, and they just kept appearing, making Marisol curious. She followed the vines to where they were coming from only to find a boy around her brother's age making flowers and vines appear around him. She stared in awe of the sight that was in front of her. She hadn't realized that her brother was speaking to Dolores because she was too much in awe of this gift. The boy looked over at Marisol and smiled at her and used his gift to make a Daisy with his hand appear on her hair.
She giggled as she smiled at the boy when the lights dimmer around the casita. Mariano quickly grabbed his little sister and walked through the crowd to find their Abuela. She was upset that she had to leave the boy. She wanted to get to know him better and possibly be friends with him. She found him excited and loved his power. As she stood to the side Mirabel Madrigal stood at the end of the room ready to walk up the stairs. Mirabel saw Marisol and waved at her making Marisol also waves to Mirabel. As she watched Mirabel, walk up the stairs, she once again saw the boy in front of her as she watched Mirabel, walk up the stairs. He noticed that Marisol was looking at him again and waved to her. This made Marisol blush and quickly wave back to him.
Marisol couldn't see the door anymore and she didn't have anyone to help her. Suddenly a hand appeared in front og her making her look up to see the boy once more. She grabbed it and the boy pulled her through the crowd onto the stairs where she could see Mirabel at the door. She was excited to see what happened and what power Mirabel was going to get. But the door disappeared, and this didn't make sense to Marisol, and she looked up at the boy who was confused as well. Marisol grabbed the boy's hand in comfort, making him look down at her with a sad smile and squished her hand for just a moment.
She walked out of the Casita with her Abuela and hermano when the boy ran out. Marisol turned around to see the boy in front of her. "What's your name?" The boy asked her. "Marisol Guzman. Mariano is my big brother. What about you?" The boy smiled and grabbed her hand giving a tiny shake and said, "Inigo Madrigal."
