As she willingly submitted herself in his arms, an unexpected feeling of relief enveloped her. Her skin, previously burning with disgust from unfamiliar touches, now found a sense of solace in his embrace. The sensation of creeping insects and reptiles vacating her body intensified, and the anguished screams echoing in her mind slowly retreated into the shadows, concealing themselves. Although she was aware that they would linger, their once prominent presence now resided in silence.

He found himself utterly astonished when she rushed towards him and embraced him with a sense of urgency. However, a wave of distress washed over him upon hearing faint sniffles escalate into heartbreaking sobs, eventually leading to reverent silence punctuated only by the sound of tears trickling down onto his tailored shirt, leaving damp spots in their wake. Her tears, though not unexpected, invoked a tender concern within him that tugged at the very core of his being. At that moment, a realization dawned upon him, unraveling the knot of emotions he harbored towards her; his heart aching in empathetic resonance with her sorrow. Throughout the entirety of their two-month union, he had witnessed her in various states of emotion – from melancholy to joy – yet, never before had tears cascaded down her delicate cheeks in the manner they did as she sought solace in his arms. Without hesitation, he enveloped her in a tighter embrace, guiding their bodies in a gentle, soothing sway that danced to the silent symphony of their shared emotions.

The verbal exchange came to a halt between the two individuals, yet the volume of their unspoken words reverberated in the opulent surroundings. Entrusted with a precious gift she had reserved for few, she bestowed upon him a token of her vulnerability. In return, he pledged to safeguard it with unwavering devotion, to treat it as a rare jewel and to uphold the delicate bond - her trust - unscathed from the test of time.

"I will get us some food. You should change too" Sanya said after she felt much better.

"I will go, you rest and your eyes are too puffy to evade questions and I know you will not want to answer them." He offered. Sanya thought over the offer and found it reasonable. She wouldn't wish anyone among the family members even see her in this state. This was her to bear and deal with and not anyone else responsibility or burden to handle. She nodded and saw him quickly change and leave the room.

Now in the silence of her own voice she tried to shun every other voice that tried to tell her anything that she was not but they were powerful and they were cowering her back.

"You think you could trust him. No you can't. He is no different. He will do the same. Just as Neil did"

"You are so dirty and everyone just treats that way - like a trash"

"Your dreams of love and a happy family shouldn't even be your dreams."

"With a personality like yours and a past like yours, you are nothing but a just piece of waste"

"Your life has no purpose"

"You have no purpose"

"You are ruining a good man's life"

"You have ruined many lives already. Your mother's, your father's, your stepbrother's, and probably even Neil's. They are right. You are just...."

"Sanya...you okay, precious?"  her eyes, which appeared to have transcended into a different realm, returned to their ordinary state when the sound of her name gently caressed her ears. Glancing about the room, her gaze fell upon Siddhant, his eyes reflecting a hint of affection and concern. Such emotion, she believed, was far too grand for her undeserving self. She saw herself not as the treasured gem he labeled her, but as nothing more than refuse and discard.
