Closing the door of the washroom, she sighed. She had wanted to avoid what happened back in the room at all costs. She was letting go of her boundaries for a man she hadn't known for over a week. She was being vulnerable and was leaning for support. Despite her lessons of life, she was making a fool of herself. Trusting someone just because you are bound in a relationship is not sensible. The end of it already decided, pain, insurmountable pain which will be bore only by her.
"Sanya stop letting your weak moments decide something that goes against you. You have protected yourself now, and you have to protect yourself further too. Stop before it is too late." She pushed those thoughts in her again and again, over and over, until she was again building the blocks of her shell.
"Siddhant....umm....what happened....actually", she stuttered wanting to clear whatever occurred between them as just a moment of weakness and that it still will take time for her to come to the same page as him in this relationship, but also feared hurting him as he has been just good to her. She has tried many times to find the reason of his goodwill but it was nothing that had a motive behind, just pure good heartedness.
"Yes, do you want to say something", Siddhant kept his phone back, giving all his attention to her.
"Actually, yes. I wanted to tell you that, whatever happened a few moments back, was just my moment of weakness. Please don't take me wrong. I..I value your support but from the place where I come from, I need time a lot of time to reach where you are in this relationship. I need time. I might sound very ungrateful to you but I am not. I am really very grateful to you for what you did for me, back in the living area and also here, but I can't give that back to you yet. I want to try to....I don't know. I am...I need some time. Maybe a lot of time. And you are free Siddhant if you feel you can't take this anymore if you can't be patient with me anymore and I promise I will not complain.", she eloquently articulated her thoughts on the matter at hand. To her surprise, instead of the anticipated pain that may have plagued him, a wide, radiant grin adorned his countenance. Siddhant found himself elated by the significant breakthrough in their interaction. It was a joyous occasion for him, witnessing his wife opening up, and engaging in heartfelt conversation rather than resorting to aloofness and icy detachment. This marked a pivotal step forward in their union, as she fearlessly voiced her desires, expressed her apprehensions, and delineated her position within the intricate tapestry of their shared existence. It was a moment of profound significance, a shimmering beacon of hope illuminating the path toward greater understanding and harmony in their marital bond.
"It's okay you can take all the time in the world you need. I am willing to wait, until I can no more", she nodded.
"Shall we leave now?", he asked her.
"No, I will stay. I don't want Maa to be hurt or upset. She values traditions. So I'll stay", she affirmed.
"She does, but that does not mean that you are not important to her. Tradtitions are important but not more than you, and your well being. If you don't feel good, we can leave. I'll talk to Maa"
"I know, but I also want to do something for her"
"Are you sure Sanya?"
"Hmm..."
"I will stay till the dinner, if you are okay with that"
"Yes please."
