"No. Siddhant I don't need one and also I don't think I will be comfortable" Sanya was adamant and she was not going to give in to his demand. It might make sense but she couldn't agree with him. Not on this.

"This is for your safety, precious. I can't take chances with you—not when I know what happened and also because I can afford that." He was not going to back down either.

"This is unnecessary. It was a one-time incident and it won't necessarily happen again."

"No one but you know it was not a one-time incident. Such people are out in the open doing such things to so many. No Sanya. I am sorry but I can't agree with you on this. This is the final decision and it won't change."

"Why? Do I not get the chance to choose for myself? Don't force things on me, Siddhant, please." She pleaded, still not agreeing to his whims. This was downright wrong and unnecessary.

"You do get to choose. You have all the rights to. But not when it comes to your security. I can't take a chance again. Even a scratch on you and I don't know what I will do." He bellowed now standing in front of her with his hands running through his hair every other second.

"This feels so unfair to me"

"It might feel but I know it is not. And you know everyone agree to this. Even Maa wanted the same. You have seen her, how she was after knowing what happened." He reasoned.

Earlier in the morning....after breakfast.

"Siddhant, Sanya...what is this? What am I seeing and reading? Why is no one aware of this? What happened and why did both of you say no word about it?" Preethi was absolutely furious and filled with trepidation. The troubling news of the unfortunate incident involving Siddhant and Sanya swiftly spread across various media platforms and publications. Siddhant, maintaining his composed facade, was swiftly taking steps to address the situation in his own distinctive fashion. However, before he could enact his carefully crafted plan, the news had already been brought to light for all to see.

Acting swiftly to prevent the situation from escalating, Siddhant placed several important phone calls to key individuals. Only after ensuring that damage control measures were in place did he finally turn his attention towards his mother. Beside her stood a visibly shaken Sanya, her lips tightly pressed together in a manner that betrayed the turmoil within her. Despite her efforts to suppress her emotions, tears threatened to spill over from the corners of her eyes.

"We didn't want to trouble you Maa and also Sanya was not feeling well. So I thought it was better to discuss it the next day and before we could, you already were face to face with it" Siddhant answered. Preethi's forehead creased.

"What is that supposed to mean? Why would you think that sharing your problems would cause us trouble? This is what families are for. To be with you. And Sanya, my love, are you okay?" Preethi made her way to shivering Sanya and took her in her embrace. Ananya and Vidit were quick to follow providing her with the warmth she craved for, for the comfort she yearned for, for the arms of those she could feel safe with.

"I am okay." her soft mumble was heard but it being a lie was well understood.

"You will be okay"

"Siddhant and Sanya don't worry and Siddhant I would suggest leveling up the security around her" his father spoke. Siddhant seemed to agree to the suggestion because he felt the same. Never before had the thought of security around them arisen until this incident which blew up the new channels.

"I will do that Papa, that seems the right decision" But it seemed right only for him and not for her. The thought of having two eyes trained on her almost the whole day was no less creepy and scary. It felt no different than Neil's attempt on her. The suggestion only was enough to feel the rise of her fears and insecurities. She was not ready to be watched, she was not.
