I wrote this in May when I was working off a different short story book, however it was unpublished before this was posted. However I love this so much so I am publishing it on here. You can make it any character you like, that is why they are un-named, though I would say Shinso is the best.

"Mum, do you love me?"

"Of course I so, sweety! Why do you ask?"

"Because you're leaving me.. did I do something wrong."

"No, sweety, you didn't. Don't worry, you will see me again, I promise."

I nodded and wiped my eyes.

"Bye-bye, Mum.. I love you."

"I love you too, sweety."

She kissed the top of my head. Dad came over to me, tears in his eyes.

"Come on, buddy, time to go."

I waved at Mum, and she gave a small wave back. Dad pushed me out of the white room.

"Yo dude, want to come biking with us later!"

"Yeah, sure! I'll meet you on the corner of ******** Cresent."

I got up and pulled on my rucksack. Picking up my notepad, I walked out of the classroom, pushing through the crowd of students. Once I got outside, I started running to my house, waving to a few of my friends as I passed them. My home was about ten blocks from school, and I made it there in about half an hour.

"Hey, dad! I'm going out on my bike with some friends! I'll be back before 8!"

"Okay buddy, be safe!"

I nodded, then dumped my bag and books before walking to the garage. I unlocked it, pulling open the door. I coughed a bit at the amount of dust in the garage. I tugged out my bike and brushed off some cobwebs. Pulling my keys out of the door, I saddled my bike and pedalled off. When I got to ******** Cresent, the others were already there.

"Good, you're here, cmon let's go!"

We pedalled around the neighbourhood for about three hours before stopping for a break. One of the others went into the corner shop and came back with six bottles of water, one for each of us. We talked for a while before walking back to our homes with our bikes. I was crossing the road with the group when a car came speeding towards us. The driver was shouting something but we couldn't hear them clearly.

It didn't brake.

I opened my eyes, rubbing them. I was in a white room. White walls, white floor, white chairs.

"You can go through now kid."

I looked up to see a person dressed in all white. I nodded slightly, confused of where I was. I got up and walked through a door at the far end of the room. It took me to a large garden with large flower beds and a fountain. A lady was sitting at the fountains edge. She looked familiar.

"M- mum.."

She turned, looking at me. Her eyes began to water.

"Hi sweety.. I told you that you would see me again.."
