If Only I had Known

If only I had known,
It was our last walk in the rain.

If only I had known,
That things would never be the same.

If only I had known,
Your 'love' was a lie.
If only you had known,
The tears you made me cry.

If only I had realized,
The distance between us.
If only I had known,
That you would break my trust.

If only I had known,
The value of my time.

If only I hadn't,
Commited such a crime.

If only I had known,
The truth that you hid.
If only you had cared,
As much as I did.

If only I had known,
The mistake I was making,
Then maybe, I would've,
Stopped my heart from breaking.

If only I had known,
That fate was this cruel,
Then maybe I wouldn't,
Have been such a fool.

If only I had known,
That life was this harsh.
If only, time; Would heal these scars.

If only I had accepted,
The truth which I could see.
If only I had accepted,
"We were never meant to be".

If only I had realized,
Before it was too late.
If only, our 'love',
Had been stronger than 'hate'.

If only, my happiness,
For once, would've lasted.
If only, our ways, Wouldn't have parted.

If only I had known,
The meaning of 'forever'.

We both were close,

But never together.

If only,

If only I had known.

If only I had known,
It was our last walk in the rain.

That this would all end in PAIN.
