"I didnt want to do it but you challenged me, Sai." Virat thought.

He took few more puffs of cigarette as he finally made his mind and took out his phone and dialed Alka's number. "Hello Mrs. Joshi."

"Hello Virat beta, kaho kaise yaad kiya...aur ye kya, abhi bhi Mrs. Joshi? Ab toh mujhe aai kehna shuru karo." Alka asked about him and commented.

"Ya, sorry aai...wo aadat nahi hui na abhi tak." Virat said sweetly.

"Kaho beta kaise phone kiya?" Alka questioned.

"Aai wo...Sai aane wali hai waha par...bas pahuchne wali hogi kuch hi der mein." Virat informed.

"What? Sai is coming here. That's a good news. Tum kyu nahi aaye uske sath beta?" Alka asked beaming at the chance to meet his daughter after a long time.

"Actually no aai, its not a good news. Sai aapse milne nahi aa rahi actually, we....we had a small fight yesterday night. She is angry with me that's why she is coming there." Virat replied carefully choosing his words.

"What? Fight? Is everything ok?" Alka asked getting worried.

Virat made sure to tell Alka his version with carefully chosen triggering words which would let gullible, conservative woman like her to see only Sai's fault. "Actually she wanted to keep her maiden name. When I disagreed, she fought with me. Aai ab aap hi bataiye ek shadishuda ladki agar apne pati ka surname hi apnane se mana kar de toh kya ye sahi hai? Aur phir maine use samjhaya ki ek shadishuda ladki ka yun is tarah apna shadi se pehle wala naam likhna na apshagun hota hai it might bring badluck to married life par wo samajhne ko taiyar hi nahi hai. Bas mujhse naraaz ho gayi aur bina kisi ko ghar par bataye achanak se chali gayi....wo bhi early morning wali bus se khud akele.....Main toh bahut pareshan ho gaya tha...aap batao...ek akeli ladki...itni dur, wo bhi bus se....kahi kuch ho jata toh?"

He heard a loud gasp of Alka from the other side of the phone when he finished his story. Virat smirked thinking about how easy it is to beguile his mother in law.

"What are you saying? Ye ladki bhi na....aane do ise main khabar leti hoon iski. Aisa kaise kar sakti hai ye?" Alka got angry on her daughter.

"No, aai please don't scold her. She will think that I have instigated you against her." Virat said acting innocently.

"No, she must be taught difference between right and wrong." Alka decided.

"Aai, I am sending Samrat with chopper to get her back here. I would have come personally but she is so angry with me so she won't come with me. Please convince her to come back. If she fights with me and go to her parents' house every time then it will have bad effect on our relationship and marriage...right?" Virat commented.
