Part 13
Finally the wedding day came and Sai was getting ready in her room when Alka came there. She saw two girls from beauty parlour were busy doing her makeup and hair. She asked them to leave Sai alone for some time. Sai gave her a questioning look.
"Nothing just wanted to talk with you. You know...wanted to tell you things which my mother told me on the day of my wedding. Consider it as tips for successful married life." Alka said as she hold Sai's hand.
"And what are those divine tips?" Sai asked as she made dramatic expressions making Alka laugh at her antics. Sai knew it might be some "gyan ki batein" that older conservative ladies of the family must have put in her aai's mind.
"First, from now on your husband's home is your actual home. So take care of it. Always spread happiness there. Make it such a place where he would always want to return at the end of the day." Alka started sharing.
"Ok, done." Sai gave a thumbs up.
"Second, whenever you two fight then don't let your ego guide you. Always remember what is important to you, your ego or your relationship." Alka said.
"Fine, I will try to do that." Sai agreed.
Alka become hesitant as she was about to share her third and last mantra. "Third,...its....well...you know...means..."
"Aai, what is it?" Sai asked getting confused.
Alka cleared her throat and took a deep breath to just blurt it out, " Its your responsibility to take care of his needs and desires."
"What!" Sai almost shouted but then looking at how her aai was being embarrassed from even talking about it. She decided to indulge in some fun banter with her aai.
"Aai, I got the first two but don't you think the last one is biased. I mean I am his wife so he should also take care of my desires too." Sai replied innocently, suppressing her laughter.
"Stupid girl.....by desires...I didn't mean as in general wishes or something...I mean....I mean....physical desires." Alka completed with difficulty.
"Do you even know what is done after marriage? Or do you want me to tell you?" Alka asked dreading her answer, she wished Sai would just say no, because she didn't know how she would go about this awkward conversation if she says yes.
"Oh aai, please stop....I don't need to hear this." Now Sai was also totally embarrassed. Now she just wanted to end this topic. This was no fun like she thought it to be.
"But Sai you have to understand....this is important in marriage.....a wife should be able to...to...give him...uh...satisfaction....in the form of.....the closeness....matlab...." Alka struggled to find a subtle word to describe physical proximity.
