Harry's Day in New York

Harry woke up early, the sun just peeking through the curtains, casting a warm glow over his room. Today was his last day in Brooklyn before returning back home to Oslo. He was determined to make the most of it.

He got out of bed and got dressed, his mind already filled with ideas for what he wanted to do for his last day in the city.

Thomas yawned as he entered the kitchen, bleary-eyed and still half-asleep. He saw Harry preparing breakfast. "Hey."

"You up early," Harry commented, noting the grogginess in Thomas's voice. He was used to it, considering Thomas wasn't exactly a morning person. "Ready for today?"

"No one is ever ready to wake up this early," Thomas grumbled, rubbing his eyes. "It's inhumane."

He made his way to the coffee pot, pouring himself a large mug of coffee, as strong as possible. Harry just chuckled at his friend's morning grouchiness, returning to cooking up eggs and bacon for breakfast.

They enjoyed their breakfast in comfortable silence, the only sounds coming from the clinking of cutlery against plates and the faint hum of city traffic outside.

After they finished, Harry sipped his coffee, looking over at his friend. "So, what do you want to do today? You feeling up for sightseeing?"

"No rest for the wicked, huh?" Thomas muttered, finishing his final sip of coffee. "Alright, let's do it. What did you have in mind?"

Harry thought for a moment, a sly smile on his face. "How about a bit of everything? I've got a full day itinerary planned, and we're gonna use every second of it."

"We'll start off with a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge, then head over to the Brooklyn Museum. After that, lunch at a classic deli in Brooklyn Heights," Harry said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "And then we'll end the day at DUMBO, just in time for the sunset."

Thomas groaned, both anticipating and mildly dreading the packed schedule. "You sure you ain't trying to kill me? I've got a head injury, remember?"

Harry just chuckled. "Don't be such a whiner. You need to get out of the house and stretch your legs."

Harry stood up, clearing the breakfast dishes from the table. "And besides, I'm leaving in the evening, so we got to make the most of today. Now chop chop, go get ready."

Thomas sulked, but begrudgingly nodded, knowing arguing was useless against Harry's enthusiasm.

A few hours later, Thomas and Harry found themselves walking along the Brooklyn Bridge, the iconic structure spanning the East River. The view was breathtaking, the city skyline stretching out in all its glory.

For a moment, Thomas ignored the lingering pain in his head and just absorbed the view. It was moments like these that reminded him why he loved New York.

"Pretty good, isn't it?" Harry said, standing beside his friend, admiring the view. They were in the middle of the bridge, cars whizzing past them on either side.

"Yeah," Thomas agreed, leaning against the railing. "I've seen this view countless times, but it never gets old."

"I'm gonna miss this view," Harry said, a hint of melancholy in his voice. "Nothing quite like it back in Oslo."

Thomas glanced at his friend, noticing the wistful look in his eyes. He knew Harry missed Norway, even if he rarely admitted it.

They stood there in companionable silence for a few more minutes, watching as the clouds moved slowly over the skyline. Then, Harry slapped Thomas's arm lightly.
