Serial designation J was flying around the tattered ruins of Copper-9. An exoplanet that used to provide for the company's interest well until the core exploded leading to the death of any and all biological life. This left the planet's drones to themselves. Now the company did not like loose ends so they sent J and her squad to get rid of them.
As J was flying she suddenly received a message. She landed just outside the spire. Reading the message it stated "Serial designation J we at JCJenson have come to realize that you may need more help with finding worker drones. You and your team have grown to be negligent in meeting your quota. So we have decided to send you something to help. This item should arrive soon. An estimate being around 2 days from now. Don't damage this product or you will face termination."
Originally J was ecstatic that she was getting a message from the company but that glee soon turned into irritation that the company thought she wasn't doing her job. She stomped into the spire mumbling curses when she saw serial designation V.
J POV
I was stomped into the spire to see that V had just gotten back from a hunt. It was getting harder to produce a good amount to even reach quota due to the talking toasters getting smarter. Even stragglers were beginning to become smart.
"V!" I shout as I see her turn towards me with an unbothered look on her face. "The company has sent something out and supposedly we will be getting some sort of item soon. So be on the look out it should arrive in a day or two." I say as I fix a stray hair. V rolled her eyes before promptly giving a thumbs up. "Also don't tell N, we can't have that idiot messing anything up." I said irritated from the thought of N somehow messing this up. "Who?" V asked with an indifferent gaze. I simply sigh before going into the drop ship.
