Feeling N even out, E opened their eyes. The looked around at the now small world with child like awe. N smiled at their expression as he flew. Soon enough the horrific sight of the corpse spire came into view. N grew nervous. After all he never thought about how his coworkers would react to E.

J and V hadn't seen N since yesterday night. Not that they were worried. J was just worried about any paperwork she would have to file and the possibility that N had gotten (and most likely destroyed) the package sent by the company. V simply had fun hunting the worker drones that were stupid enough to leave the safety of their bunker.

J had been speaking to V about their lacking of number to fill their total quota when N had landed in the center of the spire. N had shifted nervously where he stood.

"N where have you been! And where did you get that ridiculous blanket to strap to yourself?" J shouted at the drone. N eyes hollowed out before they returned to normal. "Oh hey J... I was uh getting something that's all..." N said trailing off as he saw J clearly frustrated expression.

N POV

Oh I am in so much trouble, I only killed a single worker drone before getting distracted on my patrol. I mean the distraction was worth it or I wouldn't have met E. "Not just anything but something sent by the company!" I finished. I grew confused when J looked concerned but then looked agitated. "How? The company said we should have gotten it today or tomorrow not yesterday!" J said clearly agitated. "Well maybe the company made a-" I didn't dare to finish that thought if J's expression was anything to go off of.

"Well what is it?" J said as she massaged her visors. "What?" I said confused before J snapped at me "what is the item that the company sent!" I looked at her with a face of realization. "Well it isn't a matter of what but rather who" I say as I uncover the top of the blanket tied to my upper body. E's sleeping face was seen as I smiled down at them. I looked up to see J's face twist with confusion to realization to anger in a matter of seconds.

The next couple of minutes was filled with a few swear words being screamed. I tried my best to shield E from the words even though they were asleep.

Third Person POV

The next night V had flown out to the crash sight before returning to the spire. E had already been awake. They were playing with N's tail after he had made sure to tell them to avoid the needle (well showed them). V had handed the papers from the drop ship to J. Although the papers were practically covered in red smiley faces and some blots of red.

J had a face of annoyance as she tried her best to read what was legible. "Is this all? Just a drone to help us out! But look at them they aren't even as big as a worker!" J shouted. Her agitation was becoming increasingly difficult to contain.

"Well I did find a sticky note." N said looking up at J while making sure the E was still in his peripheral vision. "Sticky note? Wow N you may not be so useless." J said while crossing her arms. "Yeah it said their name and that they will imprint on who ever they see first. Whatever that means" N said with a thoughtful face. N jumped hearing the sound of a thud. J had face palmed as she attempted to take deep breaths.

"They saw you first right?" J said surprising calm. N nod his head slightly concerned. J looked like she wanted to scream. She was obviously splitting at the seams. "Okay N use that worthless CPU of yours and think what else did the sticky note say." J asked calmly.

N thought long and hard before he remembered "They said something about having to train them so that they can get practice on and off the field. Oh and that we can't break them since they are now officially a part of the squad." N said happily since he was useful to J for once. J's hands shook "anything else?" N shook his head no.
