N scratched his head as Uzi rolled her eyes. "I'll see you later kid" Uzi said as she waved to the small drone who waved back. She stared at N questioningly "I can go right?" "I'll let you go. For now anyway" N finished which made Uzi's eye lights hollow out. Before she question it, N had grabbed E and flew off into the clouds and out of view.

Third Person POV

N was flying silently. The only thing that was heard was the beat of his metallic wings on the planet's toxic winds. E was worried that N would yell so they remained quiet. The silence was very awkward as they soon saw the spire in the distance. N had silently landed before putting them down with a sigh. "E" N spoke his tone was stern as the smaller drone tried to sneak away.

"What were you thinking running off like that! You could have gotten hurt or worse! What if you didn't find shelter when the sun came up!" N was incredibly angry but he knew to keep his anger under control. He didn't want E to be scared of him. "I- I'm sorry Baba. I-I thought that if I... if I ran away you wouldn't argue with TT or GeGe any more," the smaller drones words was like taking a knife to his core.

"Oh E... no" N knelt down to their level as the smaller drone begins to cry. "E... little buddy I need you to look at me," N cupped E's metal face. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have argued with them in front of you. You shouldn't think my anger is directed at you  or that you're the reason of it," N hugged E close as they rushed in for a hug.

A mixture of sobs and apologies filled his sensors. "Am I a mistake?" this question was asked in between sobs as E hid their face in N's chest. "No- no you are not why- why would you be a mistake little buddy?" E looked up at him with a pouty face and a visor full of tears "because I can't even get a drone. I made you let a toaster go Baba." N pat their head to E's confusion. "Little buddy I care for you and you will never ever be a mistake no matter how many mistakes you make. I will let hundreds no millions of drones go if that meant you were safe," N smiled with tears welling up slightly as he looked down at E.

E rushed head first into N's chest. They wrapped their arms around N's waist with a smile as they cried. N picked them up and entered the drop pod. N sat E on his lap as he sat down on one of the chairs. N pat their head as they slowly fell asleep. Their head rested on N's chest. It seems like all that crying really tuckered the small drone out. N kissed E's forehead before relaxing his head against the headdress of the chair. The two drones slept peacefully until that peace was interrupted via V entering the drop pod.

"E?" V looked confused at the seen in front of her. V saw N and E sleeping peacefully. V had a small yet gentle smile on her face. V grabbed the small drone's blanket and used it to cover the two albeit it really only covered E. V looked at N longingly before shaking her head and exiting the drop pod.

Hours later N woke up to E playing with his digits. N snickered at the small drone alerting them to his awakened state. "Do you feel better little buddy?" N asked with a slight tilt of his head. E nods with a smile "I feel better Baba. Sorry for scaring you, TT and GeGe," E said with a guilty expression. "It's okay as long as you promise not to do it again, if you're going somewhere you have to tell one of us okay," N pat their head with a gentle smile.

E nods "okay BaBa I promise." E's face was one of smiles and that smile always made N feel better no matter the situation. "Now let's go get GeGe and TT they were worried when you went missing," N said picking up the small drone, incapsulating them in their blanket. That he didn't know the reason why it was on them or where it came from, he simply shrugged it off.

The two drones met with the other two drones in their squad. To say J was angry was an understatement she proceeded to scold E for a solid forty five minutes. V gave a simple "never do that again." E was happy to be with their family again even though they left in not the best circumstances. But one thought lingered in the back of their mind. "I wonder if 'Zi is okay."
