I see E holding my hand. They looked worried. "Don't worry little buddy! I'm just fine." They don't seem like they believe me and if I'm being honest I don't believe me either.

Third Person POV

It was morning, N couldn't sleep after his nightmare so he just stayed up. E was still asleep as he held them. E clung to N much like a baby bat to its mother. N sighed with a smile before unhooking himself from the stiff appendages that he and his squad mates use to hang upside down.

N landed in the snow with a small thud. He couldn't leave the spire because it was morning. N sat down near his teammates slept hanging upside down. N grew tired but he couldn't sleep not after seeing those weird creatures in his dream. It felt like minutes were hours and hours were centuries.

N was absolutely exhausted by the time his team and E was awake. N was beginning to nod off as E wiggled out of his arms. E began to play in the snow in the spire with laughs of glee. Even though he was tired N was still diligent with keeping an eye on E, especially after their escapade.

J and V had immediately left to go on a hunt. It had been a while since he hunted and his teammates were beginning to send him dirty glares. N sighed and got up just as E bounded over to him. "Hey little buddy... how about we go on a hunt?" N asked the smaller drone as he knelt down to their level. E seemed to think about it before nodding with excitement "yes please!"

N laughed and smiled before picking the small drone up while being careful to avoid pricking himself on their tail. N held onto them tightly as he soon flew off through the top of the spire. N flew through the clouds making E giggle as they both looked up at the stars. E reached up as if to touch them as they laughed. N then smiled as he threw E up slightly in the air before catching them. E was a laughing mess as N flew.

N soon went back underneath the toxic clouds and began to scan the city below for any heat signatures. N flew closer to the ruins of the city before gliding to a building top where he perched. E looked around using their scanners. N was able to pinpoint a nearby worker drones who seemed to be laughing. N spread his wings before taking off.

N was able to sneak up on them easily, they were being loud so chances of him being heard in the first place was low. It was a group of at least 3 or 4. N had set E down in a hidden spot before he crept closer. He wanted to get as close as possible before attacking. He had crept up behind a piece of fallen debris before pouncing on the nearest worker, ending its life with a swipe of his claws.

After attacking one he was able to conclude that there was only 3 more. N then moved to attack the second worker this time pouncing on them like a cat. E watched on with excitement as N dealt with the workers without any difficulty. E spotted something that made their oil run cold. A worker was sneaking up on N with a strange blunt object. E's body moved quicker than their mind.

E's bright yellow highlights returned as they attacked the drone in question catching N's attention. Consequently, the drone N was about to attack escaped but he paid no heed as he went to help E. E had destroyed the worker's visor making them blind but not before being hit harshly in the side by the object they carried. With the worker drone blinded it was easy for N to finish them off.

N rushed over to E just as he heard two voices behind him. The voices sounded like they were underwater as N rushed to E whose body was hot but thankfully not over heating like before. Only a small dent was on their side which made N breathe a sigh of relief.

"N how could you let a worker get away I mean honestly" J was exasperated until she saw E. N cradled E's unconscious body as he walked over to one of the dead worker drones. He poured their oil into E's mouth before helping them swallow. Once he was able to see that they were cooling down he breathed a sigh of relief. "Is the kid okay?" V's voice cut through the air like one of her blades.
