A few days after meeting Peri, Aurellia and Dev was in her apartment as she baked a milk-free orange cake for the school bake sale. The only reason why they were there was because Dale was allergic to oranges and she didn't want to cause him to have allergic reaction when he got back from his business trip.

"Alright, now we just got to let this sit to cool for a while and we'll be done" she said.

"Great! Everyone at the bake sale is going to love your cake!" Dev said as he washed his hands.

Aurellia giggled at his excited state before she started cleaning up the dishes. From there, she heard the TV playing a news stations theme music. She lightly rolled her eyes, for she never really liked watching the news. Too much fake news and gossip, she always thought. Then the news anchor's voice flowed into the air as he gave his report.

Breaking news:
A tragic car accident has happened on the East side highway today.
Several vehicles were involved but there was only one reported casualty so far.
30 year old Frankie De Leno.

As soon as she heard that, she walked into the living room and saw her brother's picture on the TV screen. Her legs felt weak as she slowly sat down on the couch, her hand covering her agape mouth.

Police believe that this was a targeted attack. If you have any information, please contact the local authorities.

After that, she turned the TV off. Her eyes burned from tears that were forming. Dev sat next to her and saw her body shaking.

"Aurellia?"

She looked at him, a few tears spilling from her once bright eyes.

"Did you know him?" He asked.

She slowly nodded.

"He's my older brother" she said, her voice quiet and sad.

Then, she grabbed her phone and texted Dale, telling him that she wouldn't be able to take care of Dev for a while because she had a death in the family.

"Dev, I'm sorry about this, but I'm gonna have to go and leave you with my friend until I get back" she told him as she knelt down to his level.

"Where are you going?" Dev asked her.

"The one place I've thought I'll go back to..."

"Home."
