After Dev recovered, Friday finally rolled around. Meaning that tonight was the night Peri took her out on a date. I mean, it couldn't be a date, they're friends! But nevertheless, she got ready. Barely putting on any makeup except for a little eyeshadow and blush, she fixed her hair into a braid before changing into her dress.

She sighed before hearing a knock on her front door.

"Coming!" She said before she made her way to the door.

Reaching out for the doorknob, she hesitated for a second. She was extremely nervous about tonight. But taking a deep breath, she grabbed the doorknob and opened the door. When she did, she saw Peri on the other side holding a bouquet of blue roses and was trying to fix his own hair, trying to look more presentable. He was wearing a black and dark purple suit over a lavender button down, black pants and a pair of old fashioned dancing shoes. He looked so handso- I mean great!!!

"Real smooth" Aurellia said, glaring at the author as everything else froze around her.

AY! I'm not the only one who thinks it!

"Whatever" she replied before going back to Peri.

She softly cleared her throat, getting his attention. Once he looked at her, his cheeks flushed and his eyes widened. Aurellia nervously chuckled.

"Too much?" She asked him, rubbing her arm.

"What? No, no, no. Y-you look...you look beautiful" he told her.

She immediately turned into a blushy mess as he gave her the roses. She immediately placed them inside her apartment before he offered his arm to her.

"Shall we?" He asked.

She smiled as she took his arm in her's and replied "We shall."

"Okay, okay, okay. Then what happened?" Aurellia asked, laughing as she was intrigued by the story Peri was telling her.

"Okay, so my mom said "Two fairies got a thought in their head. That a bet would decide who I wed. While they battled their bout, their big secret got out. And now both of those morons are dead" and sent different things after my dad and her ex!" He finished, causing the two of them to laugh.

"I like your laugh" Peri admitted after their laughter calmed down.

"I like you making me laugh" Aurellia admitted, a blush forming over her cheeks.

Both smiled as the silence of the night filled the gap between them. The full moon glowed over the duo as the scent of dew surrounded them with each gentle breath of the breeze. Finally, they arrived at the club where the event was being held in. Excited filled Aurellia as she smiled at Peri. He returned the smile and they walked towards the door. But once they went inside, they immediately saw people getting up and leaving. Those who wasn't looked incredibly bored as the band played super slow music from who-knows-when.

"It looks like it's already over" Aurellia said, slumping down a little bit.

Peri hummed before he got a idea. Grabbing her hand, he they zoomed onto the dancefloor before he zoomed over to the drummer. A spotlight landed on him as he smiled down at his date.

"Let's rock this joint!" He said before he spun the drummer, changing his and the band's outfits into purple suits.

The drummer looked in approval before he started playing.

As soon as the music started, people started to enjoy the change of pace as Peri jumped to Aurellia. And with the music guiding her, she launched into the dance, doing her best to keep up with Peri. It wasn't easy, but with his magical engagements, it made every step feel like she was dancing on clouds, allowing her to have the time of her life. As the music reached its crescendo, Peri spun her into a dramatic dipped pose. Both of them were breathless but exhilarated. Aurellia couldn't stop smiling as her heart raced with the thrill of it all.

"That was incredible!" She gasped, still catching her breath as he set her down. "I never danced like that before!"

Peri stood in front of her, his expression a mix of pride and amusement.

"You got some serious talent, Starshine" he told her.

"Starshine?"

He immediately blushed.

"W-well I-I-I...it's just that you shine brightly, like a star when you're happy. And..."

"And I like seeing you happy" he concluded.

She felt a warmth in her chest at his words.

"Thanks, Peri. That means a lot."

"Anytime."

💜💙💜💙💜

As Aurellia laid in bed after coming home, she could feel that something special was blossoming between her and Peri, something beyond magic. It was a connection, a bond that was growing stronger each and every passing day.
