The white rhinoceros is the largest of the five living species of rhinoceros. By mean body mass, the white rhinoceros falls behind only the three extant species as the largest land animal and terrestrial mammal alive today. It weighs slightly more on average than despite a considerable mass overlap between these two species. It has a massive body and large head, a short neck and broad chest.

Rhinos communicate using a wide variety of sounds, including grunts, growls, snorts, squeaks and bellows. Because of their hump, white rhinos cannot swim.
Rhinos have poor eyesight, which may explain why they will sometimes charge for no reason. However, their sense of smell and hearing are very good.
