The grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus), also known as the Congo grey parrot, Congo African grey parrot or African grey parrot is a type of Old World Parrot.
Grey parrots are mainly fruigivorus, with most of their diet consisting of fruit, nuts, and seeds, including fruit. They sometimes also eat flowers and tree bark, as well as insects and snails.
These handsome, good-natured, social birds make excellent companions and family pets for people who have the time to spend with them.
