The Beauty and the Beast

"Perfect, that's done!"

Sunny had just finished the Soul Bound Enchantment for Nephis Sowrd. He took a long look at the weave and smiled again.

"From now on we can work on the rest."

He would have liked to work on the sword more, but he had a meeting coming up with Cassie. He sighed and shadow stepped to the entrance of the Basement. Ascending the stairs, he couldn't help but smile, because first he's gonna talk to Rain, who is currently sitting in her Room.

He knocked on her door and waited for Rain to answer.

"Just come in sunny."

Sunny did as he was told and stepped into the Room, but remaind in the Doorframe, leaning onto it he put on a big smile and said.

"Well, tell me, how did it went?"

Rain gave him a smile of her own and nodded.

"It was great, we talked for hours, I even gathered the courage to hug him at the end."

Sunny chuckled and said.

"Glad to hear it, sounds like he's a great guy. Seems like there was nothing to worry about after all."

Rain chuckled and asked.

"So I can go on a date with him tomorrow?"

Sunny sighed and chuckled.

"Ofc you can, but I thought you wanted to work on your aspect?"

Rain lingered for a second, then said.

"I think there is no harm in waiting a couple of days first. I'm meditating in the meantime, so there is at least some sort of training involved."

Sunny nodded and said.

"Your right, you have been working hard these past years, so I guess a little Vacation is a good Idea. Anyways, I will go visit Cassie for some time, I need to have a talk with her too, since nephis didn't came back, I think it's safe to say that her talk with Cass went just fine."

Rain chuckled and said.

"Do you mind telling me what happend between you 3?"

Sunny coughed and said.

"I do actually, it's a very private matter, so please don't ask anymore since I would have bo other choice but to answer and I really don't wanna do this."

Rain gave sunny a smile and nodded.

"Ofc, I hope everything will be fine between the 3 of you. Your best friends after all."

Sunny laughed and said.

"Well I suppose your right, I will be going then, but first come here."

Rain hesitated for a second and stood up from the bed, she put her hand in the one that sunny had stretched out and waited for a second.

"I will give you a Mark of shadows, that way I will know if something is wrong with you. Also I will have your location at all times, I hope that's OK."

Rain nodded and let out a yelp, because right after she did a small black snake slid out of the Sleeve of sunnys Mantle and made it's way up her arm, where it stopped and crawled around before Manifesting into a Tattoo of the very same snake. She touched the tattoo and said with awe.

"Wow, so that's the mark of shadows?"

"Yes it is, it has multiple advantages, I told you ones,  but I will explain it to you in detail. First of all, you are able to see in the Dark now, which is the most useful part, second of all, you are able to walk silently on shadows. Also the snake can manifest into a weapon of your choice, so that's a plus. But the best part for me at least, is that I will know If your in danger and Me or The original Serpent can even defend your soul see if the need arrives."
