As they walked toward the elevator, Yongseo muttered, "Idols are gods, I swear. Anyway, I gotta leave now, see ya!"
"Wait," Haruto stopped her, "aren't you going to have breakfast?"
Yongseo shrugged. "I'm usually late for classes, so I either skip breakfast or grab something small at college. Survival mode, you know?"
Haruto raised an eyebrow. "Lucky for you, it's not late yet. You should eat something. After breakfast, Hyunsuk hyung will go with you."
Yongseo stopped in her tracks, her eyes narrowing. "Wait. What? You guys are going to follow me to college now?"
Haruto nodded like it was the most normal thing in the world. "Yeah, I guess..."
Yongseo's frustration hit a new level. "Seriously? You're telling me that Treasure, the group whose posters are on my bedroom walls, doesn't trust their beloved Tueme? This feels like a betrayal, Haruto. A betrayal."
He shrugged again, completely unfazed. "Hey, Hyunsuk hyung's orders. Besides, who wouldn't want some VIP protection?"
"Yeah, VIP protection from you guys," she muttered sarcastically as they reached the cafeteria. "Is there a limit to how much I can suffer?"
Haruto chuckled and stopped just outside the door. "I gotta go record a song now, but after you're done with breakfast, head to gate 6."
"Gate 6? Where even is that?" Yongseo blinked, confused.
"Follow the diamond," Haruto said with a grin before walking off.
Yongseo stared after him, her jaw-dropping. "Follow the diamond? What diamond? Am I in some weird idol treasure hunt now?"
She shook her head and walked into the cafeteria. "Great. Not only am I a college student-slash-agent, but now I'm supposed to be Indiana Jones navigating the hidden gates of YG."
After finishing what was probably the best breakfast she had in ages, Yongseo felt stuffed and content. She had almost forgotten about her college deadlines in the blissful haze of food. Casually checking the time, her heart sank—7:00 AM.
"Oh no, I'm late again," she muttered, facepalming. "Haruto said something about following the diamond... What am I? A detective now?"
She quickly scanned the area for the Treasure logo and spotted it in under two minutes. Following the familiar diamond, she wandered into an enormous parking lot. To her surprise, there was Hyunsuk, waving with a grin, his bike already revving up.
"Let's go! You don't want to be late like every other day, do you?" Hyunsuk called, barely containing his laughter.
Yongseo approached him, eyes wide. "Is it just me, or is YG's parking lot insanely massive?"
Hyunsuk smirked. "Oh, this isn't even the regular parking. This one's just for Treasure's use."
Yongseo's jaw dropped as she looked around. "Wait, hold on. You mean to tell me this entire space is yours?"
"Yup," Hyunsuk said casually, "you know, just in case we all want to park, like, 12 bikes and 20 cars... totally normal idol stuff."
"Wow. Okay, now I really want that job in YG. I'd park my imaginary car here just for the vibes."
Hyunsuk laughed, patting the seat behind him. "Hop on, let's get you to college before you break your record of lateness."
Yongseo sighed and climbed on the bike. "Yeah, thanks for reminding me. And here I thought this was a mini vacation."
Hyunsuk revved the engine. "Mini vacation? Nah, more like Idol Bootcamp 101. Hang on tight!"
As they sped off, Yongseo muttered, "I wonder if there's a parking spot for my sanity somewhere around here."
*Later that day*
"Wait, are you coming inside too?" Yongseo asked, genuinely expecting Hyunsuk to just drop her off and maybe hide behind a tree like some undercover agent.
"Yup," Hyunsuk nodded casually like it was the most normal thing in the world. "I work here."
Yongseo blinked, her brain trying to process this. "Excuse me? What do you mean you work here? Like, as in actually work here?"
"Yeah, I'm in the chemical engineering faculty."
Yongseo's jaw practically hit the ground. "Wait, hold on. I'm studying chemical engineering too. Are you—what are you? My professor or something? Don't you guys get paid enough?"
Hyunsuk smirked, clearly enjoying the moment. "Assistant professor. Just started recently."
Yongseo's face flushed red with a mix of shock and outrage. "I HATE YOU!" She grabbed a book from her bag and playfully slammed it against his shoulder. "You were the one marking me absent all this time! I liked the old assistant professor—he actually gave me full attendance, unlike you!"
Hyunsuk laughed, rubbing his shoulder. "What can I say? I don't play favorites, not even for fans."
Yongseo groaned dramatically. "I can't believe this. My idol is the one ruining my attendance record. I'm living in a real-life sitcom."
Hyunsuk grinned. "Don't worry, maybe I'll give you extra credit for the whole undercover agent thing."
Yongseo rolled her eyes. "Yeah, 'Undercover 101: How to Fail Chemistry and Survive It.' Sounds like a HIIT class."
"We need to swing by my place before the dorms," Yongseo said. "I need my clothes, books, and all that daily survival stuff."
Hyunsuk nodded in agreement. "Makes sense."
Yongseo squinted at him, clearly confused. "Wait, don't you guys have, like, nonstop schedules? You know, shooting Treasure Map, recording in the studio, dancing for hours, pretending to eat mukbangs, that kind of stuff?"
Hyunsuk grinned. "Oh, for sure, but that's only two months before and after comebacks, plus the few weeks before awards season. Right now? We've got nothing. We're in chill mode. The pre-recorded Treasure Map episodes are still coming out from, like, a month ago."
Yongseo blinked in surprise. "You mean you're actually free right now?"
"Yup. Just enough time to get our beauty sleep and catch up on some games," Hyunsuk joked.
Yongseo laughed. "I feel bad now. You guys still barely get a break even when your schedule's clear."
Hyunsuk shrugged. "It's fine. We just act busy so the fans don't think we're binge-watching Netflix."
Yongseo grinned. "Good cover. You deserve an award for that alone."
