"Forgive me for saying this Princess, but I'm starting to think you're the type who doesn't like confrontation.""Who in their right mind would like confrontation?"
"No, I'm talking about being submissive", he gave a inquisitive glance, "...even when being aggressive is the better solution."
Walking through the Garden of Eden, you and Jimin were alone in each other's company. It was exciting but scary being alone with a guy like him, but no one was getting hurt, so it was fine for now. He seemed very interested in you and your life outside the Land of Darkness, which made you feel like a rare item.
"In the Land of Light girls are taught to be submissive. So yeah, I guess you're right."
The red head roughly snaked his hands around your waist and smirked. "So if I were to ravish you right now, you'd submit?"
Startled and scared for what was coming next, you stood silent; not knowing how to respond. Quickly you tried thinking of something to say as his hungry eyes focused on your parted lips.
"My Prince, please don't say things like that."
Letting go of you, he apologized. "Forgive me. I'm just so curious as to what goes on in that head of yours."
As you wondered what he was implying, you saw the girl in all black with who seemed to be Park Jimin's parents.
"I'm sorry Princess", he kissed the back of your hand. "But my presence is required elsewhere."
"Oh, of course." You forced a smile, knowing you'll be alone again.
"I hope I meet you again before the end of the ceremony."
"Likewise."
As the Prince walked off, you decided to wander around the Garden of Eden by yourself. There were so many beautiful plants and water fixtures that decorated the greenhouse. The further and deeper you traveled, the more extraordinary the plants were. Trees bore strange colored fruit, and flowers of alien phenotypes prospered in this garden.
Strangely enough, it felt as if the plants were talking to you; telling you to traveler further into the garden. The low, resounding voice guided you to a colder and darker part of the greenhouse. Your body disobeyed thought and reason, hypnotizing you to obey its command. At the very end of its echoing, a flight of stairs lead to a door underground. Charmed by the mysterious language of flowers, you found yourself inside the lair of something nonhuman.
Opening the door, you peaked inside to find rows of herbal spices and berries. Once you entered inside, the door had locked shut, causing you to panic. Candles and glass chandeliers were lit inside this fancy storage room, so perhaps someone was inside.
Though it looked as if no one would come this far into the garden, the place was surprisingly clean. A fireplace stood at the end of the room. The flames roaring in a blue hue sparked your interest. Ladybugs and butterflies flew around the ceiling of the mysterious room, glowing like the fireplace every now and then. This wasn't the first time you've seen something like this before.
"V", you called the familiar name. "Are you here?"
You wanted an answer but wasn't expecting one. V was the name of the spirit you used to play with when you were young. Days that weren't spent with Jungkook were days playing with V outside the castle. At first, you thought everyone could see him, but after trying to introduce him to your parents, you realized that only you could sense his presence. Since you were older, it seemed that V was just an imaginary friend.
Then you remembered.
The song you would sing to summon him.
Love is not over
Love is not over
Love is not overOut of the blue flames, a figure emerged. Your eyes widened in both fear and curiosity as a familiar face much older than you remembered smiled down at you.
"Princess ________", he smiled bright as he wrapped you in a tight hug. "I thought you forgot about me."
"How could I ever forget you, V?"
He smelled of fresh berries and lemon grass. It's been so long since you smelled such a scent. V was right here in front of you, even more tangible than you could recall him being before.Still hugging you, V started to tear up. "It's been so long since you've seen me. I was all alone."
You couldn't help but feel guilty. "I'm sorry. My parents kept me in the castle after my tenth birthday. I wasn't allowed to leave."
"Well I'm with you now", he perked up. " Why are you here though? Only people who are trying to court are..."
Your down casted gaze gave him the answer he was looking for.
"Why do you look upset, ______?"
"I don't really know", you sighed. "I guess I don't want to be courted just yet...It just feels like my only purpose is to marry some guy and have kids... Like, isn't there more to my life than just that?"
V frowned at your response. He hated seeing you upset. "Hold on." The spirit smiled as he ran to a box of mixed nuts. Placing some in his hand, be returned some to you. "Eat some. They'll make you feel better."
"Are you sure--"
Suddenly you remembered the secret herbal remedies V taught you how to make. Every time you were sick or hurt, he knew exactly how to treat it. Even emotional pain was cured by his care.
"Try some", he urged like a child as he chewed some himself.
Taking a few nuts at once, you chewed the food generously. "Thanks, V."
He gave a bow. "Anything for you, Princess."
"But V", you began before eating again. "How are... I mean, my fingers don't go through you. How are you so...so..."
"Real?"
He took the words right out if your mouth. "Yeah..."
With a bright smile, the spirit pulled out a wooden stool. "Sit down. I'll tell you everything."
