Every girl dreamed of having a perfect prom. They imagined the perfect night with the perfect dress and the perfect guy. It was very rare for something like that to happen, but every once in a while, a coin would decide to land the right way up for someone.

Rosalie Hale has had many proms, and she hated them all because she was missing the ending. The guy. She never managed to find her guy, the guy who would sweep her off her feet and dance into the night with her. Make her feel like a princess.

Damon hated the idea of prom. He hated the whole cliche of it, the big puffy dresses the way women would go out their way to strees over a guy asking them? He could never understand that.

It had been six months since the incident, meaning that the end of the year was rolling around, and everything had gone back to normal. Well, as normal as life could be with vampires.

But these last six months, Damon had been working his ass off for one reason.

Graduation.

When he came back after his incident, the teachers sat down with him and Charlie and told them both that Damon was at risk of not graduating unless he pulled some magic off.

So Damon decided to go to the smartest person he knew. Hardin. His twin had been helping him study for every test and helping him with all his homework. Damon was even doing extra credit.

He wanted to throw up.

But when he thought about the outcome of all this hard work, it meant he could walk across the stage with his brother with his vampire.

"Hey." Damon spoke as he came up to stand behind Rosalie Hale, who stood staring at a bored before her that held a list of prom queen and king.

Rosalie turned to him a smile coming onto her face instantly at the sight of him. "Hey." She pecked his lips.

He tilted his head to the side, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. He looked back and forth between Rosalie and the piece of paper on the wall.

"You going to sign up?" He questioned, going to grab the pen, but Rosalie grabbed his hand, shaking her head.

"What's the point. I mean I'm a bitch no one would vote for me anyway." He watched as she shrugged but he could tell from the tone of her voice that she felt the complete opposite.

Damon turned to her, cupping her face in his hands. "You are not a bitch. Yes, maybe you can be a little cold." Damon wasn't going to lie to her, they both knew Rosalie had a reputation of being a bitch. "But I'm sure if you put your name down, people would vote for you. You are quite popular." He told her.

The bell rang above them, and Damon wanted to burn the thing to the ground at its timing.

Rosalie placed a kiss on his cheek. "Doesn't matter. I have history. I'll see you later." She walked away before he could say anything more.
