Peace, for the first time in a long time, that word actually had a meaning behind it. Rosalie Hale had watched a thousand movies about the great love stories. She had watched the high school romances. But for the many years she had been alive and the many different schools that she went to, she was always denied that experience, that love.

Until she met Damon Swan.

The romantic lover boy who claimed he hated romance.

He had never known peace, never felt it, never believed it even existed. Because even when he was born, it was almost like he could sense his horrible mother. But that changed when he met her.

Rosalie Hale, the woman who hated everyone and everything, the ice queen as they called her.

But she melted for his fire.

He found it cute when she would stare someone down in class. The way she would lift an eyebrow was so hot.

Half the time Damon found himself daydreaming about her, the other half of the time he was with her. So that added up to all his thoughts being about his women.

"Hey!" Damon blinked three times, the snapping in front of his face having literally snapped him out his thoughts. "Head in the game, Swan." He patted his shoulder. "This is it, the last one. We win this and where champions. Champions, I tell you, and for the first time in twenty years."

Damon nodded his head, listening to the couch rant. He looked across the locker room, making eye contact with Emmett, who sent him a wink.

For Damon, this was maybe his last game if he graduated on Friday. That was. Despite everyone saying he would, Damon knew nothing ever went his way in life. Everyone had tried to help him study.

Although obviously Rosalie was the one to succeed the most, seeing as she always gave him the right motivation.

Damon was quite sad to leave this place because, in reality, he had no idea what to do next. There was always the option with Toby's father. His father had already been getting Damon in on some business builder meetings trying to get Damon to enjoy it.

The truth was he did. He loved it. He not only got to build houses but also design them.

Toby's father. Richard said he was a natural in the leader role.

"Hey." Damon looked up, coaches' voice was softer this time. "You'll graduate, I know you will, I haven't seen anyone fight as hard as you gave these past few months."

He nodded before watching as his coach walked off and did his rounds on the other players, Emmett came to sit next to him, the pair of them just sitting in silence.

"You ready?" Emmett questioned as he watched all the players start to leave the locker rooms, making their way to the field.

"Yeah. Let's go bang some heads." Damon stood up, followed by Emmett. The two of the following the team out onto the field.
