Gaston was perfectly snuggled into Adam's chest, the fur soft and warm. Not that he was cold, seeing that it was summer, but it was pleasant.

He loved running his hands in the fur, the hairs tickling him a little, and he liked Adam when he was in his beast form, the man capable of picking him up and enveloping him in a way he had never experienced ever since he had gone through puberty and had grown taller than most people in the village.

A large paw was rubbing his back while he lazily sucked his dummy and listened to mama read the story, already for the second time on his request.

A yawn escaped him, and he stretched a little feeling his bladder release, but he was too cozy to move, and just snuggled back into Ada while his bladder slowly emptied, the pee quickly soaking the diaper he was wearing.

The door opening disturbed the quiet atmosphere, and Belle stopped reading in response.

Gaston whined at the intrusion, shifting a little so he could see who it was that disturbed the story. He frowned at Cogsworth standing, the slightly nervous servant looking at the scene in front of him in affection, and Gaston couldn't really be angry at him.

"Yes?" Adam asked, Gaston sitting up a little and the caregiver followed, glad when the little stayed on his lap, but now able to look at Cogsworth while sitting upright.

"Master, there are some villagers who wish to speak with you," Cogsworth said, gesturing to behind him.

"They came here in this kind of weather?" Belle asked, surprised, looking out of the window where the rain was still falling quite hard.

"Apparently they got caught in the downpour. I put them in the drawing room with some tea, and Lumière is getting some towels," Cogsworth said, looking them all over hesitantly, "do I ask them to come back another time?"

"No. If they faced the weather, might as well hear what they have to say. Perhaps the rain will be over afterwards," Adam said, putting Gaston on the carpet and getting up.

Gaston frowned when he lost the warmth from Ada, and even worse, saw the man change back in his human form, already shrugging on the jacket that Cogsworth was holding out for him.

"Ada?" Gaston asked, reaching out for him, and he was happy when Adam turned around and grabbed his hand, which was now so much bigger than the caregiver's. A kiss on his knuckle did make him giggle, and he felt Belle's hand on his shoulder.

"I'll be back soon. You be a good boy for mama," Adam said, and then he let go of the hand and stepped out the door, Cogsworth closing it and they could hear the receding footsteps.

Gaston hated it.

Ada was going to talk to the villagers, who did not have a single good word to say about him, and he feared that they would start to talk about himself.

What if Adam told them he was here? Then they would convince Adam that Gaston was no good and Adam wouldn't want him anymore, and then he would tell Belle, and they would want him to go away.

And even though Gaston hadn't wanted to be a little, and even though he had been hiding before, now he knew that this was better, with a mama and a papa to love him.

But he had heard what the villagers said about him, now that they thought he was dead, and how much hate they spewed, and any moment now they could start to tell Ada what kind of evil he was and then Ada would drag him away and there would be no warm hugs and bottles, or even diaper changes.

There would be only cold and harsh words.

Sniffling a little, Gaston couldn't stop the tears that started to fall when his thoughts turned darker, scared that he wouldn't have any place to go to anymore, not the village, where he had previously made a life for himself, and not here, where he had been accepted for who he was, until they truly knew what kind of a horrible person he was.
