In exactly that moment Melody came speeding in. She has heard the crash and wanted to see what had happened. She scanned the situation and rushed over to Bill.

"Oh no! Are you hurt anywhere? Any injuries?", she looked Bill up and down, "and you are still completely wet! Is the hairdryer broken again? Soos, I told you to fix it!"

"Uhh...", Bill had not calculated this reaction. Why was she so nice? Melody reminded him of his mother, thousands of years ago. And what had happened to her... Thinking about it, tears came into his eyes again. He laughed. More tears came. His laugh soon turned into heavy sobs. Dipper was absolutely astonished about everything. He stood there, mouth gaping open, unable to handle this situation or react in any way. "What the fuck", was all he could think. Not in his wildest dreams had he imagined the demon Bill Cipher standing in the mystery shack, crying because of... what? Why even was he crying? Surely to manipulate Melody, he though. And it worked.

Melody embraced the boy, who now looked about thirteen, in a loving hug. He continued sobbing there in her arms. He did not hug her back. In general had Bill never ever experienced a hug this sweet. It made him cry more. He hated himself. This was so humiliating. Crying infront of Pinetree was a no-go.

"Come on! We will go dry your hair correctly and then we clean up this mess together!", Melody said and led Bill out the room. Dipper looked after them, than at Soos who looked as confused about what had just happened as him. Soos shrugged and went back to polishing the globe. Dipper was unsure wether to follow Melody or stay or do anything. He decided to got to Ford instead.

He knocked on his door, didnt await an answer and entered. Both of the older Pines were sitting there, talking.

"Dipper, why are you here? Where is Bill?", Ford asked. Dipper explained the situation. There was a long silence. Both Stan and Ford were unsure what to say.

"Uhh I think Melody can handle him for a while.", Stan claimed and Dipper and Ford nodded in agreement.

"I was just explaining to my brother what I have seen and how I want to proceed. Would you mind getting Mabel here so I dont have to explain everything twice?", Ford asked.

"HAS ANYONE MENTIONED MY NAME?", Mabel busted through the door.

"Yes actually, wonderful! Please take a seat.", Ford answered. This was the most normal thing Mabel has ever done. Ford had the suspicion that she had a sensor for everyone that said her name in her brain, like a dogs nose being able to smell so well. He wanted to experiment on that later this summer.

Mabel sat down in front of them on the floor. Her face was now dead serious and she was on alert to listen to Ford. Just like Dipper she wanted answers. She was on her way to Fords office anyway when she had heard her name and took the opportunity to surprise them. She liked to confuse Ford about that because everytime that happened he looked at her with scanning eyes, wondering how she did that, which amused her. She looked at her brother, who laughed silently at her because he was in on the joke. Mabel especually liked it, because fo ronce Ford was the one being confused by her and not the other way around.

The author started explaining everything that Mary had shown him, made clear that he also did not trust Bill or his therapist and after analyzing Bills behaviour, Ford was sure to give everyone in the family a special gun that could only hurt Bill. He continued telling his family how he will contact the Oracle himself:,, I will try it in my dreams tonight. For now, that method has worked quite often and I am confident that in this situation she will help me clear everything up and she might even be able to help us in any way.", They all nodded, understanding. They could now hear the hair dryier running upstairs and Bill screaming that the air was either too hot and then too cold. His crying fit seemed to be over. That kind of let the Pines forget some of their worries about Bill. He didnt act like a Demon, more like a small child. Nothing that couldnt be fixed. Ford just hoped that Mary would be able to keep Bills powers in for long enough.

Then the blowdryer stopped and they heard Bill stomping down the stairs and lighter steps following, presumibly Melodys.

"No, I wont clean that up!", Bill said, the voice being located in the gift shop now. The Pines stormed out of the office but only peaked through the half closed 'staff only' door to see what was going on. Bill was standing next to the mess he had made when pushing down the snow globe. His hair was now dry and looked very fluffy. Dipper was jealous. No matter how much he dried his hair or put products in it, he never got this much volume. Mabel on the other hand wanted to touch it badly. And maybe take a sniff, for science of course.

Melody answered:" Dont worry, Bill. Things like these can happen. We just need to stand up for ourselves and show regret. Then you can fix even whats broken, in one way or another.", She smiled warmly. This again reminded Bill of his mother.

"We could clean it up together if that makes it easier." Melody suggested. Tears came into Bills eyes again so he just mumbled: "Yea, whatever", under his breath.

"Great. Follow me, sweetheart!", Melody replied and led him to the storage room outside the room.

The pines family looked at each other astonished. "She is doing a great job mothering him!", Mabel claimed. They all agreed. And Melody genuinely seemed to be enjoying her new role. Maybe redeeming Bill Cipher wouldnt be so bad after all.
