"What do you mean? What have you found out?" I asked excitedly. Hongjoong gave Jungkook a good portion of his healing magic while Chan came in and sat down next to me. Jin had also arrived, having been alerted by Hoseok, and both looked at the situation with concern. No one dared to speak, waiting for my best friend to tell us what was going on.

"You and Jungkook... you're closer than we thought. You're actually twin flames, but that's more... much more than we realized. You two share everything. Your magic isn't just similar, it's the same, the same origin, the same power, you need each other to develop your full power. That's why you develop the same powers and you can jump into the past while he can jump into the future. At some point you should be able to do both, but while you're developing, everything is divided. That also explains why your magic sometimes seems to go crazy and you accidentally cast spells. But that's not all, the reason why all this is so is... you share one soul," he explained, whereupon we all looked at each other in shock.

"One soul? How... I don't understand..." I mumbled, confused.

"You are the same age and your birthdays are only a few days apart. Jungkook should never have existed, but no witch child can be born without a soul. Apparently, your soul decided to split in two and each of you got one half. You are practically one." he continued his explanations. I felt hot and cold at the same time and my thoughts began to swirl around in my head. It made sense... I had absolutely no doubt that it was the truth.

"What does that mean? Does that mean Kookie is her prophesied mate?" Jin wanted to know and Yuchan nodded slowly.

"He is literally her other half. You were the first one she considered, and that it wasn't you has been proven by now. In my research, I also found out that the two of them always have to stay together, so it can only be him. Otherwise, none of this would make any sense." Yuchan looked at me, his usually sunny and cheeky manner had given way to a seriousness that frightened me. My heart tightened when I looked up and saw Hobi's expression; the pain in it made me swallow my own tears. So that was it? I had to give him up? Blinking away the tears, I took my eyes off him and concentrated on breathing calmly, my gaze wandering to my lap, facing the peacefully sleeping Jungkook, and a sudden calm came over me.

"I've already informed your father... in two weeks you two will be married, then we can finally put an end to this." Smiling encouragingly, Chan stroked my upper arm, then shooed everyone else out of my room so that I could recover from the shock and be alone with Jungkook. When he woke up, we had a lot to talk about. Sadly, I watched Hobi leave, tried to stay strong, but when the door closed, I started sobbing.

"Kookie... please wake up, I need you now..." Carefully, I laid his head on my pillow and then snuggled into his arms, crying his shirt wet until I slowly calmed down.

"Is marrying me so horrible?" he asked quietly, apparently waking up sometime during my crying fit.

"No, no... not that, definitely not... you know I love you to the moon and back... that's not the problem... the problem is, I love Hobi too and I'll lose him completely because of this... I'm trying to say goodbye to him emotionally right now... so I can fully concentrate on us... but it hurts..." again the tears streamed down my face, but this time I felt Jungkook's strong arms around me, holding me tight.

"I've got you... just lean on me... no matter what happens... I'll always catch you."
