THREE WEEKS AFTER THE STORM
Leni stayed in Naga after the rain subsided while Bongbong went back to his work in Manila. They've been in constant communication since she decided not to fly out to see him.
"Magpahinga ka na, hon. Kumusta na pakiramdam mo?" Bongbong told her thru facetime. She's been feeling ill since yesterday.
Leni sat down straight and took her meds with water. "Migraine lang 'to, hon. Pag naitulog ko 'to mawawal—"
She almost threw her phone away as she ran going to the bathroom. She threw up. Her third time that day.
"Honey? Anong nararamdaman mo? Talk to me please!" Bongbong was screaming over the phone, he's worried. He knew she's had a terrible migraine, but it's his first time to see her like that.
"Tatawag na 'ko sa security, papadala na 'ko dyan ng doktor—"
Leni cut him off as she held her phone weakly. "I'm okay. No need for doctors. I'm okay."
He sighed, he can see how tired she is. "Leni, I'm going there ngayon na."
"Bong naman—"
He cut her off. "Don't try to stop me."
She just sighed. Too exhausted to even argue with him.
"I'll hang up na muna. Tatawagan ko si Jessa para ma-ready yung chopper. I'll be there in an hour. Stay put, okay? I love you!" He said.
She just nodded and hang up.
She's been feeling ill for days now, that's the truth she's concealing from him. She doesn't want him to worry given their current long distance situation plus the fact that he's a very busy person.
After an hour and thirty minutes, she was notified that he landed safely. She slowly walked towards her door to meet and welcome him. She misses him.
"How are you?" He almost ran to hug her. He cupped her face, staring at her with worried expression.
"I'm fine. Don't worry. Migraine lang." She smiled faintly.
He kissed her forehead, "Let the doctors check you up tomorrow, okay?"
She nodded. "But for now, magpahinga muna tayo."
He nodded and held her hand as they walked inside the house.
The next morning, Bongbong was woken up by Leni breaking up from their cuddle harshly. He blinked many times before realizing that she's sprinting towards the bathroom.
"Leni?" He stood up as soon as possible and went after her. "Oh god!" He sighed and went to assist her.
She's throwing up.
He held her hair up as he tried to dial Jessa. She picked up after two rings;
"Jessa, I need doctors right now! Nagsusuka si Leni."
"Yes, sir!" Jessa said before Bongbong hangs up.
He almost threw his phone at the sink when he saw that she's already done throwing up and she's obviously losing her energy to even stand.
"Oh god!" He exclaimed as he carried her out. "Leni, can you hear me?"
She nodded, her eyes closed.
He carefully put her down the bed, "The doctors are coming, okay?"
She nodded slightly.
