Julian's harsh words cut Emilia deep, but she refused to leave.
"I won't go until you tell me the truth," Emilia said, her voice firm.
Julian's gaze pierced hers, his jaw clenched. "Fine. You want to know? Your father ordered the hit on my family."
Emilia's world crumbled. "No... that can't be."
Julian's eyes blazed with anger. "It's true. James Thompson destroyed my family, and now he'll pay."
Emilia felt torn between loyalty and horror. "Why are you telling me this?"
Julian's voice dropped to a whisper. "Because I want you to know what kind of man your father is. And I want you to stay away from me."
Emilia's heart ached, but she saw the pain behind Julian's anger.
"I won't leave until I understand," Emilia said, her voice soft.
Julian's expression softened, and for a moment, Emilia saw the man beneath the revenge.
"Ask your father about the Laurent family massacre," Julian said, his voice barely above a whisper. "See if he'll tell you the truth."
Emilia nodded, determination burning within her.
As she left the restaurant, Emilia knew her life would never be the same.
