Julian's eyes gleamed with determination as he outlined his plan.
"We'll gather evidence, expose your father's empire, and bring him to justice," Julian said.
Emilia nodded, resolve hardening within her.
Together, they pored over documents and recordings, building a case against James Thompson.
As they worked, Emilia's feelings for Julian deepened. She saw the pain and drive behind his revenge.
"Julian, why do you care so much about my father's downfall?" Emilia asked.
Julian's gaze locked onto hers. "My family's murder was just the beginning. Your father's empire has destroyed countless lives."
Emilia's heart ached. "I had no idea."
Julian's voice softened. "You're not like him, Emilia. You have a chance to make it right."
Their hands touched, sparks flying between them.
Just then, Ryder's call interrupted.
"Julian, we have a problem," Ryder said. "James Thompson's getting desperate."
Julian's expression turned grim. "What's he done?"
Ryder hesitated. "He's put a hit out on Emilia."
Emilia's world froze.
