Ace was sitting in the cafeteria with her squad, in conversation with Rhiannon and Violet. It has been a couple of days since they properly talked. They always talked during breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the lessons were somewhat getting in the way. Single lessons with Professor Carr for Ace, Library duty for Violet and Rhiannon spending time with Tara making it difficult for the girls to talk properly. They were talking about their favourite things to do during their childhood, and Ace was talking about her and her brothers being pirates and training all day long to be strong fighters.

"Didn't you learn to write? And read?"

"I did, but only when I was older. I never needed to read or write."

Violet looks at her with wide eyes.

"How much later?"

"Like, seventeen?" Ace questions, her head tilted. Marco taught her how to write properly, she just doesn't care to spell everything right. She's a pirate, she doesn't need to know how to write, she needs to know how to fight.

"SEVENTEEN?" Violet exclaims loudly, now everyone in the cafeteria looks towards them. You could hear a pin drop. Ace looks up, her eyes skimming around the crowd. Instantly, everyone was looking away. She smirks.

Pussies.

"They are rightfully scared of you, little flame."

I guess so.

"Well, that explains your spelling." Rhiannon retorts dryly. Ace gapes at her.

"I grew up in the wilds, what did you expect when I told you this during presentation?"

"That you have a wild imagination?" Ace rolls her eyes.

"A wild imagination?!"

"I just can't believe you grew up outside, with no supervision, and no learning whatsoever. I'm surprised by your manners."

Ace snorts.

"Makino taught me manners; you should have seen me before."

Rhiannon laughs quietly, while Violet still looks bewildered.

"I'm not sure I want to." Imogen and Quinn got up, looking at Ace, waiting for her.

"I gotta go, talk to you losers later."

"Love you too, Ace!" Rhiannon calls after her loudly, making Ace turn around and blow her a kiss.

Ace was sitting in history lesson, bored out of her mind, when an idea sparks up in her head. She reaches out to Xaden, sending him a mental image of the last time they were in the history room after Threshing.

"Freckles." She can hear him growl in her head, making her smirk.

Yes, sir?

"Don't act all innocent when we both know that's not the case."

But I didn't do anything. I'm just sitting in history lesson, it's very interesting.

"Interesting? What topic are you on?"

Absolutely no clue. That's not what's interesting.

"And what is?"

She smirks, sending a wave of her arousal his way, imagining them back on the very desk the teacher is sitting at right now.

"Freckles... if you don't want me storming in there and take you in front of everyone, you better stop this."

You'd do that? You wouldn't even let me ride you with Garrick in the room. And he wasn't even watching.
