The next day, Ace was sitting in the cafeteria for breakfast, Violet and Liam nowhere in sight. The latter just walking towards their table with his tray, sitting down across from Ace. The girls share a look and a smirk, before both look towards their blond-haired friend.
"Where's Vi?" Rhiannon asks nonchalantly.
Ridoc said down next to Liam, across from Rhiannon. Sawyer sat next to Ridoc. The third-years are nowhere in sight. Quinn was sitting with her girlfriend, and Imogen joined her, avoiding Ace after the girls ran into each other in the hallway of the third-year sleeping quarters that morning.
"Wielding lessons with Carr, I assume." The girls share another look.
"You assume? So, you don't know?" Rhiannon raised her right brow slightly, challenging the blond to answer her. "What kind of boyfriend are you?"
"I'm not her boyfriend." Liam stated a small smile on his lips.
"Yet." The four surrounding him said at once, making the blond laugh. "Yet."
Ace smirk at him teasingly. "From that statement, I take that you are the reason why Violet was so emotional last night?"
Liam looks at his plate with a smile, and that tells all of them what they need to know. Just then, Violet came towards them with her tray, sitting down next to Liam's other side. Ace watches the two with careful, calculating eyes. The silver-haired girl smiled at the blond man, her eyes sparkling.
"FINALLY!" Ace cheered happily, high fiving Rhiannon. While Ridoc slaps Liam's shoulder with a grin, Violet rolls her eyes. Ace does a little happy dance in her seat.
"Now the epic romance I have planned for you is finally starting to sail! I'm so excited for you!"
Liam shakes his head with a small smile, while Violet groans. "Whatever."
Rhiannon, seeing Violet's mood tilting, speaks up. "How was your lesson with Carr?"
"Okay, I think. I took a while to get the lighting going, but with Tairn's and Andarna's help, I could do it."
"Were they instructing you? Like Crith instructed me?" Ace askes curiously, but Violet shakes her head, a blush rising her cheeks.
"Uhm... not quite." Ace tilts her head in question. "Then what happened?"
Rhiannon grins at the silver-haired girl, but Violet shakes her head.
"I... uhm... I'll tell you later."
"Girl's night, tonight. My old room." Ace said with a grin, earning a nod from Rhiannon.
"Yes.... Wait. Old room?" Ace just nods with an eyeroll. "Yeah, Xaden moved my stuff into his room. So technically, the room in the second-year hallway is empty."
Rhiannon grin, shaking her head slightly. "You never stayed in that room anyways."
Ace nods along. "Yeah, we can use it for girl's night, though. The bed is bigger."
The girls share smiles, before Ace gets up from the table.
"The bed is bigger? What do y'all do on girl's night?" Ridoc asked, a sly grin on his lips.
"Wouldn't you like to know." Rhiannon smirks, wiggling her brows.

They second-years were sitting in Professor Grady's classroom, who just walked in to start the lesson, silencing the conversations that were being held all around the room. Professor Grady comes to a stop in front of the class, his eyes skimming over all the students.
