IT'S JUST YOU AND ME

CHAPTER 2: DAMSEL IN DISTRESS

Lex cooled herself down and peeked out the door. She saw Ruan...waiting patiently with his arms crossed. "Um...I'm done, let's go to class now... " Said Lex, cracking a nervous smile.

His POV:

" Is she uncomfortable with me? Did I do something wrong? Why are her cheeks red? Does she have fever or something? Or.....is she blushing..?. Well I better take her to class, we're going to be late! " I thought. " Well uh, do you feel better now? Do you have wheezing or something? " I asked. " N-n-no, no, not at all " she said. "May I ask what really happened?"I asked, curious to know if she was blushing or it was just nervousness "I think I'd uh, prefer to not say..." she replied, again, very nervously. " Got it " we both just stood there awkwardly while I broke the silence and said "Follow me, let's get to class"

Her POV:

While we were walking to class, he showed me all the places. " This is the Gym, This is the Cafeteria, This is the Library " and yada yada yada. Then, we finally reached class and guess what? We were late. "What a surprise, the class president is late to class" said the teacher, in a very cold tone. " I'm sorry, I was the one who made him late, he was showing me around the school " I said. Ruan smiled. The whole class erupted into laughter, they were all saying " Look at Hi-ruan! " 

The teacher started, "You got some nerve talking back to me like that-" "Woman, we just told you the reason, the principal told him to show me around the class and you're an English teacher? YOU'VE got some nerve talking without grammer. It's you've not you. C'mon Ruan, sit down" saying that, I took the last seat in the class. 

The whole class erupted with Ooh's and Aah's. " SILENCE " the teacher screamed. Ruan did not come and sit and just looked at the teacher and said "I'm sorry for my behaviour Ms Georgie, I apologize on Lex's behalf for talking back to you..." "Yeah yeah, whatever. Go and sit. " said Ms Georgie.

 ( Ms Georgie has always had that Aussie + British accent that I hated, like, what kinda psychopath would mix two accents? ) 

Mid class, I wanted to use the restroom so, I stood up and said " Excuse me ma'am, can I go to the restroom? " " No " she said, in a cold tone. " Excuse YOU ma'am, I have to answer the nature's call, before it bursts! " " No ". " Woman, this is not a request, I'm going " I walked out, with no care in the world. Ms Georgie scoffed and asked the class " Is she always like this? " Everyone shrugged. While, the class president, Ruan was laughing quietly with his hand hiding his mouth.

As I walked out, I felt so cool! I flipped my hair and walked straight with my chin up when suddenly, I heard "CAREFUL!", I turned around and 'BOINK', a football had hit me right on my face and I blacked out. " Hey, hey, excuse me! " I heard a voice, and they were trying to wake me up.

I opened my eyes and saw a few guys trying to wake me up. I noticed that I was lying on a guy's lap and quickly got up. "W-what are you doing?" I asked, embarrassed. " First, what's your name? " He asked, in a cold tone, almost like he was going to hit me.

 I wasn't able to open my mouth at all since he was coming closer to me. I went back and as he came closer to me and eventually I hit the wall. "I asked what you name was" he said. " I..., I'm Lex... " He quickly backed up and said " Ms Lex, our team would've gotten suspended just now! What were you thinking walking like that? " He said, arrogantly.

 " Excuse you? " My anger erupted, " This school is not yours bro, it was your fault that the ball hit me and now you're saying I was the one disturbing you? Why the frick would I come and get myself hit? You know what, I'm complaining about this. Ya'll are not saying sorry and badmouthing me! " Saying that, I picked up my books and walked the opposite way. "Hey hey hey" said the boy, holding my hand.

 " I'm sorry, I shouldn't have talked like that. And, I apologize for the ball too, We'll be more careful next time " I took his hands off and said " what's your name? " He replied, " M-m-mark...why? " " Just askin'. And since you're begging, I accept your apology. Bye " saying that, I flipped my hair and left. While, I was walking, I saw my worst nightmare. Teen girls and they were looking at me, I could sense it!

 I opened my locker and saw in the corner of my eyes that they were walking towards me " Oh great! Now they're walking towards me! " I thought. They pulled my collar and threw me down. " Ow, girl " said her friend, Rachel, teasing me. " Why would you do that? " I asked, stuttering like a kindergartener. 

" I saw what you did back there, one, he's mine, and two, don't you dare- " Suddenly, my brother came and pushed those girls. " What the fuck do you think you're doing? " He screamed, glaring at them. Mark was drinking water and walking, when he noticed me and ran to me. Before he could reach me, Ruan came and asked me " Lex, are you okay? Who did this to you? " He asked, worried. 

I looked at the girls who were getting screamed at by my brother. When mark saw Ruan next to me, his stomach burned. " W-what. What is happening to me? Whatever " Mark thought. He walked up to me and asked " Lex, what happened? " Before I could answer, Ruan picked me up and walked away. Mark felt furious. Felix saw that Ruan was taking me to the nurse's office and ran to him. " Excuse me? Who are you to do that?, give her to me. " Said Felix. " I'm her friend, who are you anyways? " Said Ruan, rudely. " IM HER BROTHER, NOW GIVE HER TO ME " Ruan then quickly gave me to Felix and stood outside while me and Felix were inside. Mark just looked at us from afar and walked away.
