The Surprise

Yu's POV

That was a lot of talking. Everyone is all caught up now.

Ann: "Risette and Yukari Takeba are persona users? I've seen you two perform a thousand times."

Risette? Oh God there's two of them now. There's so much more to Rise than just Risette you know.

Youske: "Did you seem them at the Festival hall in Osaka two months ago?"

Ann: "No! That is the ONE that I missed!"

Youske: "Oh it was awesome! Me and Yu went together."

Rise: "You did? I thought you told me you weren't coming?"

Me: "Youske!"

Youske: "Sorry Partner."

Dang that Youske, she wasn't supposed to know that.

Rise: "Why didn't you tell me? I would've invited you backstage."

Me: "I should've told you, I'm sorry."

It's embarrassing how often I go watch her. I don't normally even like idols or concerts, I mean she's great, amazing even, but even I'm confused. Why am I always going to my ex's concerts?

Youske: (whispers) "So he can stare at you then too?"

I give him a threatening look. He puts his hands up in defeat. I don't think she heard. Not that I care.

Nanako: "Big bro!"

Oh look it's Nanako. Oh no... Nanako's birthday, I completely forgot it's today!

Nanako: "Big bro? Are these all your friends?"

Me: "Uh, y-yeah Nanako, by the way, do you wanna meet me at home later?"

Nanako: "But I thought you said we would have a party? You even said you had a surprise."

Me: "Yeahhh... which is why I'm gonna meet you at home and surprise you then!"

Nanako: "Thank you big bro, I'll see you at home then."

WHAT AM I GONNA DO!?

Haru: "It's sweet you've got something planned for your little sister."

Yeahhhhh...

Ryuji: "You do have something planned right?"

Me: "I've been so busy with the Palace I completely forgot, I don't know what I'm gonna do."

Ren: "Didn't you say she loves the Phantom Thieves?"

Me: "She calls you legendary Phantom Thieves of justice, so what?"

Yusuke: "Might I offer a suggestion?"

About an hour later we arrive at my house and I can't believe we're doing this.

My "Investigation Team" (as Aigis calls us) and S.E.E.S come in together.

Also, Aigis hasn't let go of Yuki Kun's hand at all since the TV world.

Me: "Hey Nanako! Happy birthday!"

Nanako: "Thank you big bro! Daddy bought me a cake!"

Dojima: "That we can have after dinner."

Nanako: "Pleaseeeeee?"

Dojima: "Hmmmmm, what do you say Yu?"

Me: "I actually have a surprise for you Nanako."

Nanako: "Is it a big surprise?"

Teddie: "Bearrrry big Nana chan."

Nanako: "What is it what is it?"

Naoto turns off the lights, secretly.

Nanako: "Huh?"

Ryuji: "Yo! what is UP, everybody?"

A cartoonish voice speaks. But it's really Futaba.

"We are the ones who you all know as the Phantom Thieves."

Nanako's face lights up! This is going well!

Naoto turns back on the lights.

Ann: "We've come for one specific reason! Our next target is a very special person."

Futaba (Without the voice changer): "We've come to wish Nanako chan a happy birthday!"

Ryuji: "Ain't that right... Leader?"

Ren kneels down in front of Nanako.

Ren: "Happy birthday Nanako chan."

Nanako is speechless.

Everyone: "Happy birthday Nanako!"

Nanako: "W-wowww the Phantom Thieves are really here!"

And yeah, they really are... in cheap replicas of their outfits.

It was the best I could find!

Nanako: "Can you stay?"

Dojima gives me a nod.

Me: "Of course they can! They're here for you!"

Nanako: "Yayyyyyy!"

I whisper in Ren's ear.

"I owe you big time man."
